I'm 29. I lived literally 3 blocks away from this station since I was 7. It's kinda weird because despite alot of the area being "hood" for almost 20 years, it was relatively safe. I never felt in danger walking into that station as a kid. All shootings and robberies tended to happen in the next stop over at RFK stadium. After gentrification happened with all these trendy bars, restaurants, and condos came up, that's when crime skyrocketed in the last 5 years at the station for some odd reason

I get what you're saying but dude said housing not houses and there's alot of low income people EOTR that live in apartments. Thats what I meant, not the people buying houses and already going to trendy bars

You're assuming that people in EOTR have cars or money for ubers. It's a 10min drive to those places but a 30-40min bus ride

I swear u the first person on here to not call SE a hellhole of some kind and u even gave a reason why people still prefer NE and NW. As a SE native, for the longest time I never understood why transplants prefer NW neighborhoods like Columbia heights, seat pleasant, ivy City and more when there is just as much shootings there as SE. My best friend lives near Columbia heights and he has seen drive-bys and a dead body from his window.

I been going there since I was a kid and I ALWAYS get the soft roll. The one time I got the hard roll I swear I thought my jaw was gonna fall off. Like u, I don't understand how hard stale ass bread is the "right" way but I wouldn't advise it for first-timers

U tried the soft roll or just the hard roll? I never had a problem with the meat portions as I usually have abt 6 slices in my sub but I do admit they been gradually getting skimpy for the past decade
