Every GE appliance I've encountered since 2000 has been a cheap piece of crap, fridges that fall apart, microwaves that roar like demons, etc. GE used to be amazing, and maybe their old style washers and dryers still are, but man did they not come into the new millennium strong.

It really is... I have a warranty too but I have to pay $75 for the initial service calls, so it's not as bad as it could be. I just wish companies would stop with the planned obsolescence stuff and make a decent product again. Though the suggestions of Miele, Maytag, and Speed Queen have definitely peaked my interest.

I feel like LG is a long the same thread as Samsung, fancy looks and plastic parts. I have an LG fridge and it is not without issues

Ironically the only thing that hasn't died on these Samsungs have been the electronics/computers. Pumps, gears, motors, on the other hand...

Came here to post the same. It's the first fan I ever did a Darth Vader voice with

That's a damned fine looking appliance. I do wish I got to see that level of aesthetic. I grew up in the 80s, where everything was hideous lol
