You clearly don't know how good attorneys work, just the ones you see on tv. You want an attorney that can clearly and articulately state what ordinance they are violating to get them to correct it, not someone that will just curse at them and yell. You seem to want to do the latter yourself, why pay someone to do it for you?

I saw pictures of someone exploring Heers years ago before the renovation that were very impressive. My old man brain now lacks the Google-fu skills to try to track them down and the new building owns the top Google results any more.

Going to miss it. Living downtown it was nice to be able to walk a few blocks and you were at the theatre. Plus it was always dead even for major openings. Last time I was there was for Maverick on opening night and there were only 20 people in the whole auditorium. Which I'm sure played some very very minor small part in its closing.

When I did my search a few years ago for a new place pretty much the nicer complexes were the same with the same amenities and pricing. Even floor plans were almost the same. Just pick the area of town you want to live in and look at the complexes there.

Several of the major roads in town are often mistaken as being the responsibility of the city. Kansas Exp & Glenstone for example are handled by MoDOT because they are maintained by the state. If I remember correctly Sunshine is as well.

As a fellow dude with longer hair I just see a woman stylist that I am one of only like 2 male clients she has. She's fully booked and not taking new clients unfortunately. Ask any women friends who they see and get in with one of their stylist.

I thought of another, let's pass a city ordinance banning the house on National near Grand from putting out any more of their idiotic messages.

You're going to get downvoted to hell by the white knights on Reddit that never volunteer their time with the homeless in town but sure think we should help them out, but I'll give you your one upvote for this.

Here's a more realistic one. Turn downtown into a pedestrian zone by barricading off South Avenue at Walnut to the Square (make the Square pedestrian only as well) on Friday & Saturday nights and allow open alcohol containers on the street.

I did my masters at Drury and undergrad at MSU. I liked it a lot as a school and wish I had done my undergrad there too in hindsight. My brother did his undergrad there and absolutely loved the program and lived on campus all 4 years and had a good time. My only other thought is that maybe because of its size it does feel like its own world compared to the other colleges. The Drury students partied together and rarely ventured out downtown to the bars from what I ever knew.
