The fact that California hasn't done it goes to show that it's not just a matter of climate.
For a lot of the other States better bike infrastructure and public transport are possible too I reckon. Especially with the popularity of e-bikes.

It's definitely less convenient than the current bike flat though.

Definitely! Adding bone makes it stiff when cooled down.

It's so good andso rich. Good Dutch split pea soup contains like three different types of meat. Let it cool in a bowl, flip it, and if you manage to get it out it will retain its shape fully.
And on the side we tend to eat rye bread topped with bacon...
Granted there are vegetarian options nowadays. But TIL those will still be protein rich thanks to the peas!

Because it's your team! Your country! Your boys!
Imagine your kid, or best friend, or parent doing something amazing. Would you celebrate? Of course!
Some people can muster something akin to those feelings for strangers, because it feels like they're part of that group. And add millions of others who feel the same way and that feeling gets amplified.
Heck, you don't even have to be a part of the group, you can just be rooting for a team for some random reason like them being the underdog or liking the country because you went there once.

To add to what others have said: it gets crazy. What is commonly taught as the oldest Dutch sentence (it isn't) is from c. 1100. One theory though is that it is perhaps a certain west Flemmish dialect of English.
Can't tell you the specifics but basically it gets fucky wucky that far back.

Definitely! Especially with mixed charts (bar and line) or two different units (e.g. price and quantity).
But they're not terribly common.

Bar charts would also have been nicer. One of the things you (hopefully) learn at these firms is to avoid pie (or doughnut) charts.

The likelihood is very damn low. I worked at a Big4 in consulting, not being able to service audit customers was a huge problem for us and simply cut our addressable market by 25% (assuming that there are only four audit firms and we were one of them). I think technically to some amount it could be exempted but in practice it was as good as impossible.

Our new towns, cities and neighborhoods also have great biking infrastructure. So nothing to do with being old.
As for happening elsewhere: it doesn't have to happen everywhere. But there are tons of places in the world that are perfectly suitable for biking and have very lacking infrastructure. Heck: even if it is just for the months without snow.
