The only time they get wet are when I clean them (roughly 3:10 dilution ipa to water, very conservative amount on microfiber cloth and wiped) and if I sweat. by DecayableRadiologist
Bet.
As a side note (more of a general question). If it was corrosion and cleaned off, will it return again and again? I guess this applies to other things as well.

What would you recommend doing? In the event that it is corrosion, how screwed am I? FWIW, I’m still in the return window.
Personally enjoyed these over everything else I tried so I wanted to try everything first.

So I was reading into this a tad more in the mean time. They said to wipe with ipa and I did just that. It’s gone now but I’m very worried was to whether or not the area’s coating (I assume there was one to begin with) has been compromised, thoughts?

My apologies if it’s difficult to discern. I’m talking about the green that can be seen on the left side connector (bottom if you are viewing the bud from a top down POV).

I got rid of it using 99% ipa. Does it come back or was this just a one time thing?
