York Harbor has a similar walk. I'd recommend checking it out if you haven't!

It's Uber gentrified. Completely changed in the past decade or two. Lovely in the off season though.

Bro I did about the same thing up here in New Hampshire.
I told myself for 15 years I wouldn't buy at the top of the market again, but fuck, it was either that or stay in the same tiny place for another 15 years.

Is there a news article or proposal that one can review? Something a little more concrete than an "only in your state" blog? I didn't see any links in there

The internet made it way too easy. The internet gave us lots of great things, but connecting people to cults was NOT one of them.

I probably should have some commas in there.
You missed the post, since it's deleted, but the person basically said "I don't know what a 50/50 raffle is". The first response is someone quoting the OP with the exact words stating what a 50/50 raffle is...
So I said "Why read, when you can ask a question AND also read?" A bit sarcastic. Like they could just read the answer in front of them instead of asking for the answer and reading it... twice.

Ha! I was being sarcastic. It seems silly to ask a question that was already answered in the OP.
There are those people who really love social interaction though... even if it involves asking questions that have already been answered.

Really REALLY sparsely populated. I don't think there's anyone north of 2nd Connecticut Lake. Maybe a few cabins off Indian Stream Road. I think they're all seasonal.

I work from home, and I live in my dream house. I've worked in both NH and MA, so I have like 15 years of experience with this exact situation.
You can assume whatever you wish!

Yes, a joke made by people who don't understand that you'll be living in a house that's 2 or 3 times the size of the one you left in MA.
No one making that move cares that they will pay an extra $5k in property taxes per year.
The "joke" sounds like copium from people who don't understand.

I live in NH and I just got my yearly invoice for my 11 year old Camry. It's $117.
Tons of misinformation in this thread.

The joke is definitely on people who think this is a joke. Because the wages in Boston are 50% higher, and the income tax is 5%.
By all means, don't take the Boston jobs though. Leave them for the rest of us :)

I don't want to be an old, cranky, carmudgeon. But holy hell. We've lived in the seacoast area for 30+ years now and GOOD FUCKING GOD Ogunquit has become gentrified to the extreme. It's not even the same town anymore. York is right behind.

It's really awesome. Tons of little hikes and sights to see. It's got something for everyone. The Bubbles hike is sweet. Totally doable for pretty much anyone and well worth the few hundred feet of elevation gain for the effort.
I found another Reddit post with the view from the Bubbles here. It's surely the same.

There's no way it's from NH. There's no mountain with an ocean view like this in the state. Not even a similar lake view that I can think of.
