Okay!

  • ME 17 in Maine especially the "Height of Land". Possibly the prettiest place on earth in peak foliage? I only slightly exaggerate.

  • Route 26 from Newry Me into Vt. Just terrain that doesn't really exist anywhere else in New England. I like going west, it's a bit more dramatic.

  • VT 5A. More terrain that is fairly unique for this area. Lake Willoughby is so pretty.

  • VT 102. I prefer it to the NH side of the river. It's much more scenic.

  • NH 115A. Short, but has the best view of the presidentials. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a side trip.

  • NH 16. You probably have driven by Mt Washington, but this road is still incredible north of Berlin the whole way to Eustis.

  • VT 9. I really love this area. It feels like you're surrounded by history, if that makes sense.

It's amazing that none of these folks ended up with charges. Just a few dozen criminals hanging around Maine, taking jobs, probably continuing to abuse people just like they did for decades. Really gross.

It doesn't seem logical that they actually made it anywhere near NH. They were reported missing from Springfield/Topsham. Then they're found in East Hancock? So they drove like 300 miles southwest, then turned around and drove back 250 miles northeast? I mean, I suppose it's plausible, but it really weird.

This is spot on and hilarious.

FWIW, I'm from NH and we have this shit happening here too. Look at this About page for a farm in my town:

Note: these folks paid over $1m for this farm. When they bought it they couldn't have been older than 25. He's a woodworker and she's a rabbit breeder--while pursuing a PHD in education. They went to private schools, etc. etc.

Last time I drove through ogunquit a guy trying to cross the street left his toy poodle in the crosswalk so I had to stop for the dog. Then he shook his hands at me like I "almost hit his dog".

Besides the Marginal Way, Ogunquit sucks these days. They should rename it Ogentrified.
