Oh man, that must have been so terrible having to stand in one spot for five or so minutes, I'm glad you made it through that atrocious behavior

The point of the Broad St Bullies and Critical Mass taking over the street is that it's an inconvenience to drivers for like 10 minutes once per week, but that's how the roads feel for cyclists every other minute of the week.

This is my favorite. It's a not extremely subtle subtle "back off", kinda disrespectful, but less dangerous than brake checking.

Yep, the fitness room is open any time the gym is open. It gets kind of crowded around classes, sometimes the classes are also in the fitness room and sometimes they're out in the parking lots.

TRC, depending on how close you consider that to the Fan. Post pandemic it got pretty busy though, I haven't been in about a year but it was getting to the point where it just felt like you were packed in there in the fitness room during busy times.

You have yet to make a single post that doesn't lean on one logical fallacy or another. I noticed you changed tack pretty quick when you realized that theater companies aren't organized specifically to exploit some people's neurochemistry through what we call gambling addiction. Almost like your entire position is bullshit, "the people want gambling addictions so we should let them have it". This whole exercise in you rubbing weiners with the other poster began with a strawman argument.

During the summer I took an Amtrak to/from DC that was delayed 1.5/3 hours, because they were driving at lower speeds to reduce the chance of starting a fire. So you may want to drive in the summer if you can.

Casinos are an inherently extractive industry, the entire business model is you go in with money and hope you leave with money. There's no need for scare quotes. The casino group put out pie in the sky projections and if you don't believe them you're somehow a racist? Get real doofus.

INGREDIENTS1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 carrots, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
½ medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
½ pound sweet or hot Italian sausage, casings removed
½ pound mixed mushrooms (such as white, cremini, shiitake, portobello and oyster), chopped
1 cup (about 7 ounces) dried French or brown lentils, picked through and rinsed
2 ½ cups low-sodium beef broth
2 ½ cups low-sodium mushroom or chicken broth
1 medium tomato, chopped, juice reserved
1 cup dry red wine
Crushed red chile flakes
¼ pound baby spinach, roughly chopped
¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
6 teaspoons grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Step 1Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Step 2Add carrots, celery, onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are translucent, about 6 minutes.
- Step 3Add sausage and cook, breaking into small chunks, until it begins to brown.
- Step 4Add mushrooms and continue to cook until mushrooms have released most of their liquid, about 3 minutes.
- Step 5Add lentils, beef broth, mushroom broth, tomatoes and their juice, wine and chile flakes; cover the pot and bring to a boil.
- Step 6Reduce heat and simmer until lentils are tender, about 30 minutes.
- Step 7Add spinach and salt and pepper, stir well and simmer until the spinach wilts, 1 to 2 minutes more; stir in thyme. Ladle soup into bowls and top with cheese.

I made this one this week and it was pretty bangin. I initially didn't think that 2 sausages would be enough but it was just the right amount. Lots of ingredients so I was worried about it but it all comes together very well into a nice, hearty, warm soup. Would be great with some saltines crushed up and added on top.

Did you take up climbing as a new years resolution? OR did you start going to the gym but get bored of lifting things up and putting them down or running in place? Maybe you're a seasoned vet and just like having extra money around. Well, today is your lucky day because I have some gently used gear that needs a new home.
Butora Acro shoes - 285mm (US size 10.5) - not stinky! Unworn in over a year. Good condition, rubber on the toes is completely intact. Retails for $150, selling here for $50. NOTE: These shoes are NOT for beginners and will wreck your feet and make it unpleasant to climb unless your feet have already gotten used to wearing climbing shoes.
Black Diamond Solution harness - I forget, either L or XL. I'm a normal sized 6'1" guy and it fits me well and could go either larger or smaller. I was much more of a boulderer so this is lightly used. Retails for $80, selling here for $30.
But wait, there's more!
Metolius Competition chalk bag & some chalk - comes with a TRC belay tag, now you don't have to take that pesky class!
Black Diamond Air Traffic Control w/ Carabiner - NOT what is pictured here, but similar, I can't find the exact model. Your future ATC is actually nicer, the carabiner is painted red underneath the locking bolt so you can quickly and easily do a visual check to make sure it's fully locked and safe.
Deuter Airlite 16 - I honestly don't really want to sell this bad boy, you could say we've been through a lot of life's highs and lows together. It's a small pack but I'm fairly sure that inside there's a portal to a locker in Germany because it holds an amazing amount of gear. The shoes, harness, and bag fit perfectly inside. There's a top pocket you can use for bandaids, climbing tape, the chalk bag belt, etc. Get some shoe spray and keep that in one of the side pockets. Clip the ATC onto the outside ropes so everyone knows you mean business.
Great for hiking too, the outside straps give you a ton of extra storage. You can roll up and strap two jackets back there if it gets hot while you're on the trail. Or get really crazy and strap a ukulele on the back. All this, while you have a first aid kit, towel, lunch and water for two people - what the hell, how does that even work!?
--
Shoes and harness for sale individually, buy at least one of them and get the chalk bag, chalk, ATC, and backpack for an additional $50.
