Plot twist, rural Ohio just minutes from the next derailment

I'd say up until the pandemic this was a more cheerful sub. Now Nextdoor-esque comments reach the top of news posts where they used to be downvoted to hell.

That might be the culture difference haha
Southern hospitality vs Northern efficiency -- in this case the northern bit being more predicted on giving the recommendation, the local condition, but not exactly going out of your way

A foreigner rolling in knowing no one and going shooting with a stranger?
Idk probably drug money, probably some captured attention speech about some stupid subject, probably exposure to a ton of bad folks. I doubt heavy crimes or anything
Granted last time I was in Rutland, VT human trafficking signs were everywhere

Yeah, I'm betting we have a culture difference on that one. Where I'm from the guys near-cold inviting to go shooting were likely not simply asking to go shooting.
Again, a culture thing. Rural Vermont gets weird

I'm optimistic that you're being sincere and friendly, but I'm betting a lot of people read this as "uhhhhh that's a weird invite"
Like I myself grew up with guns and owned a few back in Vermont but blinked a few times
I think it sounds like a pretty dope invite, just unexpected

Only disagreeing because Glover Park is/was hilly as all hell (but I miss all my hiking trails that all the normies never set foot on)

Do it. I used to get a harvest bowl with spicy brocc added and rice swapped for quinoa. Pretty fun combo and takes to additional hot sauce well

Pretty far out on the silver line but if you're willing to put in the time Tysons Galleria has a pretty dope bathroom experience on either the second or third floor, above the Sweetgreen

I crashed and burned out of political agency life in 2017. I'd worked in a few places including K Street. It was never the hours it was the stress of some partner screaming in his office, and when we come in the next day seeing a mostly empty bottle of whiskey on the desk, they're nowhere in sight, and then being responsible for his responsibilities. Different flavors of examples like that over 4 years.
Crashed out to run a tea shipping business for a year.
Then I spent 4 years doing spreadsheets and ads for tech companies, now I work in the toy & game industry. My bloodpressure, weight, and overall lifespan has thanked me.
