See if you think Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, or Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) qualify.

Reply to Who’s the most “metal” when talking about classical artists like Beethoven, Chopin, and Bach? by bluerodeosexshow
"Metal"? I feel like metal implies big riffs and is not particularly about subtlety, so Beethoven out of those three for sure. Probably Beethoven Uber alles.

Reply to CD's - Do YOU still buy them? by BladeBitten
If I'm out seeing a band, and I like them, I will buy their CD. If there's music I can't just download, but can get on CD, I will buy the CD.
Of course, in both cases, I will immediately rip it to my online music collection immediately. The CD goes in a bulk storage sleeve.

Reply to What happens to the energy of sound in space? by full_hammer
But space is filled with gasses of varying degrees of rarefaction. How dense does gas have to be to propagate sound waves?
Space is filled with periodic and aperiodic events; can't some of them be interpreted as sound?
What frequency or amplitude of vibration in a gaseous medium do we decide isn't sound?
