Thanks! I had originally drawn the wallpaper in the same style as the rest of the painting, but it looked pretty bad. I can’t paint a straight line without a guide to save my life I suppose. And the color is a bit odd, but it was just what was speaking to me. This was just from imagination, I don’t even have a cat…

I love Van Gogh so much, and I am certainly aware of the similarity with this one, but believe it or not I didn’t set out to emulate his style. I just sort of paint that way I guess…
