I don’t think a building can evict you that quickly. If your landlord can be contacted, I suggest you let them know asap. Tell them what’s going on and give them a timeframe of when you’ll get them the rent. More than likely, they’ll understand and at most tack on a late fee. No landlord wants to go thru the lengthy process of eviction especially in NJ. If worse comes to worst and you’re extremely desperate (and I really don’t recommend this), you can do a cash advance on a credit card if you need cash asap. But again, I really don’t recommend this as you’ll dig a bigger hole for yourself and end up paying more.

As a person who really likes dogs, I don’t love it when people walk their dogs into restaurants. I’ve seen them mark/pee/poop indoors so many times and its off-putting and kind of gross. I also don’t like it when they jump on me and their dirty paws leave prints/slobber on my clothes.

I enjoyed living at the Harrison Urby. You’d definitely find something for less than $2200/month there. Lot of amenities in the complex and very close to PATH. Harrison is not the liveliest town but its safe and affordable. There’s also Vermella, 300 Station, 221 Bergen, etc within the area. Like others have said, I don’t think you’ll be able to get an apartment in a luxury building in JC for that much within walking distance to PATH.

Edit: Yikes, I see they raised sent on Urby Harrison since I lived there.. that wasn’t even a year ago. But the other properties I mentioned definitely fall in your price range. Best of luck!

It was pretty seamless for me at Bayonne DMV. Took maybe 1hr total. Altho, DMV is not something I go on a whim, it needs some planning if you want it to be seamless. You need a certain number of ID and proof of address. I had my ID, SS card, birth certificate, I do paperless bills usually so I printed out a bank statement from my bank.

This chart was helpful in showing what documents are required. https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/realid/pdf/26.pdf

The hard part for me was just getting the appointment.
