Add me as another DCU fan. I've been with them for over a decade with my checking/savings, mortgage, and car loan. Zero problems, great customer service, and their rates are equal or better than the bigger banks. Also the tellers have better lollipops than Citizens.

Zero reason nowadays to use anything other than a credit union. Seriously, fuck the big banks.

I went to Gunstock last year and had a great time. There are a lot of lanes, they're well maintained, and the staff there is friendly and helpful.

I went to Nashoba a few years ago, and the lines were long and moved super slow, and the trails weren't as well maintained.

Just tell them every day that they are going to come, you're not going to be home. They can't force themselves into your house.

Granted, they will still do the assessment, just making a guess of what's inside, which might be worse than just letting them in.

No. I imagine most voters don't care either.

All the local politicians and all the folks (e.g. media) who make money off the primary are going to be apoplectic but I don't most people give a shit. We're already second place after Iowa, what does it matter if South Carolina votes the week before us anyway?

Oh absolutely. You see managers do this to all the twenty-somethings who have big egos, hinting that they're somehow better than the engineers who have been doing this for a decade or two or three. They're the ones sitting in the office in the dark at 7PM when the rest of us are at home with our families.

It usually sets in that this is bullshit when they get laid off for the first time.

You're going to get a lot of college grads who don't know jack shit about anything (both in the technical and life experience sense), who are going to be super excited to join the company. They're going to get showered with the "You're a 10x engineer, you're a ninja coder!" bullshit from management, all while working way overtime for no extra money or benefits. They're going to tell themselves they love it for awhile, until they figure out nobody in the industry works like that except for them and they're being tricked. Then they'll move on.

I would highly suggest living in the southeastern part of the state (roughly in the Concord-Nashua-Portsmouth triangle). That's where most people live, and where most stuff is, and Boston is commutable from there. There are a TON of tech jobs in eastern Massachusetts, but not so much in New Hampshire itself. Like I said, the Boston area is commutable, and most tech jobs around here are still WFH. The northeast is expensive, housing-wise, but given your jobs, I think you'll find it affordable.

Also, you will find there are Brazilian and other Portuguese speaking communities in the area (especially in northeast MA).

Looking forward to the Republican mini-majority not being able to pass anything because not enough people show up to do their job.

Seriously, can we just hit the reboot button on the House and not have 400 members, most of which are 90 year olds and people who have too much time on their hands for the wrong reasons.

I voted Hassan. Maybe I would have considered a Republican if they hadn't run yet another senile Boomer who believes every conspiracy theory that floats under his nose from Facebook.

I just imagine a table of white-haired old dudes saying "What do the kids like nowadays? What's that show on Netflix people are always talking about?" and the running with a Stranger Things theme.

Anecdotally, most folks I know who are Stranger Things obsessed are usually in their late thirties, so maybe not the greatest choice.

Not New Hampshire, but I bought my last car at Acton Toyota down in Mass. I shopped around and they gave me the best price, and I got in and out with minimal amount of dealership bullshit. Also you don't pay MA sales tax if you register the car in NH.

I don't know much about trucks, but my father has a Honda Ridgeline and he's been very happy with it.
