Ditto. Installation was quick and easy for ~20 windows, the crew cleaned up well, and were done in like 3 hours. Some windows need a little adjustment in the weight mechanisms, but we're already had someone out to check them and order whatever parts we need. Seems to have been a pretty timely response. Given the other nightmares we've had with other projects, this one has been pretty smooth.

An elderly neighbor who drives a van for a local church felt emboldened enough to march up to me when we had our Pride flag out, just to inform me that he was "watching us" and "knows what we're doing in there" and that he's got his eye on "anything suspicious that we might be doing."

So yes, these people exist. They've got intentions, all right, and even if they never actually carry out their wet dreams, they've very comfortable operating in a way that suggests there aren't consequences to being an asshole to your neighbors.

That being said, the same fool also had "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Trump" flags up until the J6 committee subpoena was delivered, after which they came down.

I don't abide stupid people, but I hate COWARDLY stupid people even more.

Just whatever you do, do not give the impression that you've got anything that can be misconstrued as a weapon, because yes, that is an actual crime and no one's gonna get out a tape measure to defend you if you're sitting on your porch with a shotgun broken over your arm.

We have chickens, and I have a video from last year where my wife and I are standing in the backyard, on a June afternoon, taking dumb pictures, and a deer walked in between us (we were standing 5 feet apart) to come sniff a chicken that was near our feet, and it tripped over another hen it didn't notice.

My wife had to literally shove the deer with two hands to get it away from the chickens, who wanted nothing to do with it.

Everyone around us has motion security lights, and they'll bed down on my back patio, right up against the house, because they don't trip the lights on. All of our adjoining backyards are connected, and if you go out at dusk you can see them all gathering underneath trees, waiting for it to get dark.

I've tried, for years. The biggest hurdle, in all honesty, are the people who like to feed them and think they're pretty. These are mainly elderly people who have nothing better to do than go to local meetings and drown out everyone else with their bullshit.

My neighborhood is full of people who never leave their homes, never open their windows, don't do shit to their gardens except fill multiple bird feeders every day to intentionally attract deer and other vermin.

No, it has everything to do with "The people who live and pay taxes in the municipality get to choose where their money is spent, and not allow Mr. and Mrs. Councilperson to tell their nephew, who runs Townsville Public Works, to pave the road because he plows the snow in the wintertime, too."

>I'm thinking it has more to do with allowing a company to hire people for less than the value of their labor, then skim the "extra" money for profits.

There isn't a conspiracy hidden in plain sight for every misconception you have about the way the world works. Stop looking for one.
