When? What time? For how long? Which bands? Is there a cover charge?
You need a promoter. That's what promoters do. Or at least a manager.

Ditto. Installation was quick and easy for ~20 windows, the crew cleaned up well, and were done in like 3 hours. Some windows need a little adjustment in the weight mechanisms, but we're already had someone out to check them and order whatever parts we need. Seems to have been a pretty timely response. Given the other nightmares we've had with other projects, this one has been pretty smooth.

An elderly neighbor who drives a van for a local church felt emboldened enough to march up to me when we had our Pride flag out, just to inform me that he was "watching us" and "knows what we're doing in there" and that he's got his eye on "anything suspicious that we might be doing."
So yes, these people exist. They've got intentions, all right, and even if they never actually carry out their wet dreams, they've very comfortable operating in a way that suggests there aren't consequences to being an asshole to your neighbors.
That being said, the same fool also had "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Trump" flags up until the J6 committee subpoena was delivered, after which they came down.
I don't abide stupid people, but I hate COWARDLY stupid people even more.

At least our highly-trained Antifa Forces will easily know which houses to chemically castrate when the civil war the GQP is forcing people to believe in finally starts.

The diner experience at Nancy's in Wilkinsburg is exactly what you'd expect a neighborhood diner to be, except with excellent food. Go there.

Just whatever you do, do not give the impression that you've got anything that can be misconstrued as a weapon, because yes, that is an actual crime and no one's gonna get out a tape measure to defend you if you're sitting on your porch with a shotgun broken over your arm.

No one can promise that the police WON'T be called, but there's nothing for anyone to legitimately complain about. You're fine. It's your property.

We have chickens, and I have a video from last year where my wife and I are standing in the backyard, on a June afternoon, taking dumb pictures, and a deer walked in between us (we were standing 5 feet apart) to come sniff a chicken that was near our feet, and it tripped over another hen it didn't notice.
My wife had to literally shove the deer with two hands to get it away from the chickens, who wanted nothing to do with it.
Everyone around us has motion security lights, and they'll bed down on my back patio, right up against the house, because they don't trip the lights on. All of our adjoining backyards are connected, and if you go out at dusk you can see them all gathering underneath trees, waiting for it to get dark.

That's great and all, but the exact issue is that there aren't nearly enough houses with a 50 yard buffer all the way around to even make this feasible. Because we live in the city.

I've tried, for years. The biggest hurdle, in all honesty, are the people who like to feed them and think they're pretty. These are mainly elderly people who have nothing better to do than go to local meetings and drown out everyone else with their bullshit.
My neighborhood is full of people who never leave their homes, never open their windows, don't do shit to their gardens except fill multiple bird feeders every day to intentionally attract deer and other vermin.

I wish I had a friend with a crossbow who hunted. I've got a very mature maple tree that would make the perfect sniping spot, and one evening in a tree would bag them a couple bucks and probably half a dozen does.

Same here. As a kid, I never managed to get closer than maybe 50 yards away from one.
Now, it's a completely different story. I could easily walk up to one and chokeslam it, if I wanted to. They don't run away.

No, it has everything to do with "The people who live and pay taxes in the municipality get to choose where their money is spent, and not allow Mr. and Mrs. Councilperson to tell their nephew, who runs Townsville Public Works, to pave the road because he plows the snow in the wintertime, too."

>I'm thinking it has more to do with allowing a company to hire people for less than the value of their labor, then skim the "extra" money for profits.
There isn't a conspiracy hidden in plain sight for every misconception you have about the way the world works. Stop looking for one.

And all kids should have their homework done before they watch cartoons.

Because it costs less to bid out work than it does to have it done by your own people?
I mean, this isn't anything new. Every municipality does this. It's written in the bylaws of practically every town in the area that this is how infra improvements/capital purchases are made.

No, keep your dog outside. The rest of us don't want your dog indoors unless it's working, either for you or as a dishwasher in the back of the house.
