Fun fact: Blue Line uses catenary power when above ground after passing Airport. It is dual modular because it is said there was problems with the third rail use being so close to the ocean (Revere Beach and Wonderland).

3rd rail is where the train gets its electric feed from. If you see on the tracks, there are 2 rails where the train runs on and a "third rail" that is raised up and parallel that has an electric current running through. The train has a few contact shoes on each car that basically rub against it and gain electric current, allowing it to operate. This is for the red, blue, and orange lines. The green line uses catenary, which has direct contact from overhead wires and uses a pantograph system, rubbing under the wire to gain an electric current.

I think it's okay, but converting perhaps commuter rail to just high frequency lines and making direct North-South station access would give generally positive benefits as is.

It doesn't properly service Randolph nor Holbrook, so it really is fucking service at the station over as a whole. Neither town is benefitting all that well from it.

We need an iron and brick wall to shield the bullets instead. And also it's odd how most prominently white neighborhoods don't have to face this. The poverty being in these poor neighborhoods and filled with black people. It's almost like we have a historical problem in this city that is being covered up by not speaking about it. Maybe the city should actually looked into this and do something more than "give thoughts and prayers". Man is dead already and we all know someone else is next. Considering these factors afflicting these neighborhoods - education, family planning, birth control, income stability, etc - it would be nice if the city looked into it.

That would be the case if rent was on pace with inflation. Which is not the case especially in cities like Boston.
