I've seen maybe two or three other cases on here too and all of which was not their fault.

I think it's just something that happens and you just happen to be the unlucky one that it happened to.

Warranty should 100% cover that, even just standard warranty.

Facebook used to do the same for me, force light mode until an update fixed it.

I don’t play games on my iPhone so I’m not too familiar but I used to play COD mobile on my Rog Phone 2 and 4hrs SOT is pretty good. COD mobile is a intense graphical game, I’m not too sure with clash but maybe someone who also plays clash can chime in.

What’s your battery life without playing games? Can you test a day without using your phone and maybe use a tablet instead?

Do you have sunrise/sunset schedule on for instagram? If not then it’s definitely a software issue with the app, devs need to fix that.

How long are you playing games until it drops frames?

How much SOT are you getting with your battery? Post your usage as a screenshot, we can’t tell anything without this information.

You should be doing this in case something happens to your phone and you lose everything

It’s actually better for your device and battery not to close your apps. iOS already does this and keeps apps in the memory to preserve battery and you manually closing them messes with it.

As for the heating up, your maybe the third or so post I’ve seen with heating up on 14 Pro using YouTube and reddit. One post the other day was using YouTube in PiP and was experiencing the same problem. Also, what reddit app do you use? The stock reddit one is pretty trash, always use Apollo.

You could try a factory reset before taking it back.

I’d stay with android if I were you. A lot of what you do, especially torrenting, you can’t do on iOS. Same goes with YouTube revanced, there’s nothing equivalent unless you side load apps and you have to pay apple a yearly fee of $100 or something like that. Complete rip off.

If you really want a new phone just go for the 22U or better yet wait for the 23U or go for one of the foldable 4 series. Also the Pixel 7 Pro looks pretty sweet too.
