Reply to NYCers I see you pay for street parking while FedEx, UPS and other corporate empires get free parking all over our city. by jfo23chickens
Delivery drivers get tickets all the time. Companies like UPS and FedEx have expected costs for tickets and go as far as to negotiate prepaid rates with parking agencies.

A torchiere lamp with the highest wattage bulb you can use. Casting light off the ceiling will help illuminate the room and require fewer lamps.

Probably in response to NYC boosting police presence in and around the subway.
One week away from local elections. Gotta boost the appearance of safety until incumbents are securely re-elected.

This is the new form of grassroots political activism.

The hotel near me is housing Venezuelan immigrants: Link
Honestly I prefer this over the homeless that used to be put up there. A bunch of immigrant kids running around the sidewalks at 2AM is preferable to being stalked and attacked.

Reply to $500 rent increase in West Side! by alex12m
Good luck finding a true one bedroom in NYC for less than $2475 especially in a newer building with W/D in unit, dishwasher, and secured package delivery.
You can’t find this in downtown Jersey City anymore and this is approx what one bedrooms lease for now in Harrison.
Prices are tricking outwards double so on these LUXURY rentals than every new transplant wants to live in.

Minivans and large SUVs will easily fit that TV. Check the rental companies and rent something like a Pacifica.

Nobody outside of Brooklyn thinks about south Brooklyn. Reminds of how people from outside JC think JC is just Grove St and the waterfront.

Nice enough to put a protective ramp over the cord.
Anyone who objects to this is Karen.

Engaging these people isn't worth it. At best you'll get that sass comeback. At worst they'll throw down to show what's what.
Too many people just don't care, have zero shame, and absolutely no concern for anyone else. They'll say the city made them that way.
