Most people would rent a trailer.
Pay a friend to ride it home.
Or check the regulations for a motorcycle learners permit (if such a thing exists.)

You start to loose traction going straight up the hill, so you step on the gas. Your tires are both spinning, but you don’t have equal traction on both sides (partly because of the differential in the transmission, partly just because the traction isn’t equal for whatever reason.) Unequal traction means one side of the car digs in, and the car starts rotating - then you’re accelerating, while pointed to one side - and you end up off in the woods.

Any type of 12-volt winch should work just fine - 60 feet isn’t that far, and you’re well within the weight limit of the cheapest winch. (Even a half ton winch could safely lift 330 pounds.)
For your trolley, I’d look at making “rails” from L-channel steel. Put the vertical piece in the outside. The cart can just be a square of steel with some roller skate wheels on it. They tend to have good bearings and are fairly durable.
The advantage I see using the L-channel is that you can go over whatever your existing landscaping is - you could have flowers, grass, etc. in the middle, and the cart should mostly just push them out of the way.

I mean, I feel like they still mostly have the same things. I think 8 years is probably a long enough interval to visit again and enjoy it.
See about a discounted pass from your local library.
Since you’re there, pop across to the Navy Yard on the harbor ferry and visit the Constitution Museum. (Ferry is $3ish each way, museum is free.). It’s a fun short boat ride. You can board the Constitution itself, but you have to go through security first.

The only real answer is finding a place that can do a proper stained glass repair. That is one substantial entryway setup.
I suppose you could get away with a clear panel, but it would still look a bit out of place.
You’ll never get a close enough match with a new door (AND new matching glass) so don’t even try.

More rail, and more importantly, BETTER rail, would surely help.
Getting rid of this concept that everything has to be built in/around Boston would also help.

Could be. Also, it just got sustainably cold, and changing a lightbulb in the cold is just awful. It’s easy enough for me to do, but squeezing my hand in there without dropping the bulb, OR getting it grimy, can be a challenge.
Does having a fog light out get me access to the club? I got some LED replacements, but I haven’t installed them yet.
Graflex01867 t1_iyp8ruv wrote
In my usual driving, it takes a few days before I notice I’ve got a light out, unless I happen to go somewhere particularly dark.
Also, look at the bulb life. The second-level bulbs have a lifetime of about 160 hours. The third-level drop down to 140.
The regular old cheapest basic bulbs? I’ve seen up to 1,000 hours.
So the cheap option lasts MUCH longer, but people buy the fancier bulbs for their “better” performance. (I found they were a bit brighter, but not much. The pair burned out within 3 days of each other - after 3 months of use.)

So, here’s the problem that I see - you don’t really have a great excuse for speeding. You had no idea if the officer was on their way to an emergency or semi-emergency call. Speeding because you were blindly following a cop is not a very smart excuse. (And for all you know, the officer was on his way to an emergency, and forgot to turn his lights on.) Just because someone else is doing something stupid/illegal doesn’t make it okay for you to join in.
I mean, I agree that it was a bit rude for the officer to give you a ticket, since no one should be above the law - and I agree that the officer most likely WAS also speeding.

The styrofoam should be fine with water - they make cheap styrofoam coolers that are just foam, nothing else.
Keep in mind that a cooler that starts off full of ice ends up full of water. You’ll need some way to make this cooler you’re building hold water, or it will leak/drip wherever it goes.

I’d look for a good walk behind snowblower right now, to get you through this winter. Get a decent one - I recommend Ariens snowblowers. They last forever. (No matter what brand you get, look at the snow chute controls - make sure they stay where you put them. A good blower will launch snow with considerable force. I also prefer metal chutes instead of plastic, because if it freezes, you can warm it up with a torch.)
If you want a good tractor for snow and mowing, don’t rush your purchase. A cheap one won’t last - do some research on different brands, and see what’s around you for dealers. Don’t necessarily buy one from the local big-box store. Buy a slightly better/fancier model
The type of snow, and the type of lot will have a lot to do with it too. You might be interested Kay with a snow blade for the tractor, and a walk behind blower for cleanup/pushback.
Unless you have really wide sidewalks/walkways, you might find that you need a walk behind anyways.

I’d buy enough extra so you have matching flooring when you do the bathroom. Don’t waste time trying to get it installed and lining up with your existing toilet/sink/cabinets when you might get new ones later. If you do the floor now, you’ll also have to protect it later when you do the rest of the renovations.

Yeahhhhh….that’s not right.
The vehicles on the highway have the right of way. You yield to them, it’s not first come first serve.
Graflex01867 t1_iweswpf wrote
In the Midwest, you guys have highway on ramps that are long and straight enough to actually hit highway speeds at the end of the ramp.
Try that with our short, sharply-curved on ramps that were never designed for 70mph, and you’ll just drive yourself into the side of an unyielding truck at the end of the ramp - at highway speeds.
The rules are written for infrastructure we just don’t have. You can’t stop at the end of the ramp, but you have to remember there’s a good chance there’s nowhere to merge in to, and your lane may or may not end.

Put a plywood box over it. Paint it to match, and you’re done. You need access to it, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use it for light storage.
You could get creative with it - a nice wood veneer, or get some vinyl sheet flooring to put on the sides (wood grain, or some funky pattern.)

Reply to What does a red street name sign mean? by cryptoengineer
Color is up to the town.
Green and white used to be “standard”, but green blends in with the trees.
Dark red or blue with white lettering is also popular. Some weird places did green signs and yellow letters.
My town switched to dark red (maroon) and white, since our school colors are red and black.
Recently the town looked at the lettering and ran some tests, and we’re switching to upper and lower case letters (rather than all uppercase) since they’re easier to read. (They’re replaced as needed, we didn’t waste money changing all our street signs.)

Exactly. There’s a huge difference between the government putting people up in a hotel so they’re not sleeping on the street and the government just dumping some people onto an airplane to take them somewhere else.
The government is gasp contracting with a hotel to do what hotels are designed to do!

You have two real choices :
-New Balance Public Transportation Co. for nice weather.
-LL Bean Mobile for the winter.
(That would be a good pair of sneakers and a pair of boots for the out-of-town folks.)
It’s not a great area to be in without a car.
Find the bus routes that go to the mall, then work backwards along the bus route trying to find housing.
Also, Woburn and Burlington aren’t really the same area. Two totally different towns.
