The DoE budget has essentially been static despite about a 10% enrollment decline since 2020. We also spend the most, by far, per student of any education dept in the country.

You’re the only disingenuously implying that Adams cut billions from the DoE which is not that case. I’ll put your entire quote tho.

Source on education getting defunded?

How about you look at the facts. Enrollment in the DoE has declined nearly 10% since 2020 and the budget has essentially stayed static. This is with us already spending, by far, the most per student of any education system in the country. The DoE is not getting “defunded”, and it’s a false narrative to imply that it is.

Not to mention that enrollment in the DoE has declined nearly 10% since 2020, but that doesn’t fit a certain narrative either. It’s easier to just spew nonsense to get upvotes on Reddit than than actually look at the facts.

Source on $5.1 billion being cut from the DoE budget and “other things” and being given to the NYPD?
Edit: if someone downvoting would like to actually give figures on the DoE being defunded that would be cool.

“The burrow is a small hole that is on my neighbor’s property,” he said in a 33-minute telephone hearing before the city’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings. “It is not on my property, and I have photos I can show you as evidence.” “
If this is true, it sounds like he’s going above and beyond to get a handle on the situation.

Right but the cPat is pass or fail, you get one practice and one actual run at it. I’m sure in the departments that require you to have the training before hand you have a lot more chances of passing the required training.

If you mess up on 1 question you risk the chance of not scoring high enough on the test to get called.

You have to score extremely highly on the test to get called and then pass the CPaT to get hired. Then you have to go through and pass the academy which isn’t a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination. I wouldn’t call that “no special training”.

These train cars are a good idea in a society where there’s an expectation of order and decent behavior on public transportation, but since we’ve decided that doesn’t matter it’s not going to work out well.

Right but since we are in a proclaimed “migrant crisis” maybe they should have adjusted the guidelines accordingly. This isn’t a singular unvaccinated kid entering a school, this is a significant number of potentially unvaccinated children entering the school system.

Still doesn’t make sense, we have extremely strict vaccine guidelines for children of NYC residents, how does it make any sense to allow a flood of unvaccinated children in the school system?

I guess the point is why were they allowed in school without first receiving the vaccines, when a resident wouldn’t be allowed in school without receiving them.
