You can't be honest with a judge because this is America. Our judges don't care a bit about the truth. All the care about is having easy days where they hardly do a thing. You are trying to get money from the government. The same government that employs the judge. That means if the judge doesn't completely screw you over at every opportunity, they are acting against the best interest of their employer and will be punished. Get a lawyer. It's your best shot of getting anything from these criminals.

Unsuited how? What state would do better? I don't think its important but your critique makes it seem like you just hate NH. You can find the types of people you're describing in all 50 states.

The state will lose 9% of the revenue from all the restaurants and hotels in Concord that get busy for primary season. Hardly a drop in the bucket. I think you'll find the only people who care about that money happen to own resteraunts and hotels in concord. Their prosperous tears will fall on deaf ears.

Its just difficult to find young adults here. NH has one of the highest average ages in the nation. It's one big retirement community.

Unsafe cars can pass NH inspection and safe cars can fail. It's not always cut and dried.

You absolutely CAN be. However, since the only way for them to tell is by noticing your sticker color from a distance... Odds are you won't be. Usually it's noticed by the officer after he stops you for something else. (assuming your shitbox isn't pouring smoke or something)

My buddy refuses to inspect on a moral basis lol. Say what you will but he did the math and over a period of 3 years he only got one citation and paid less than the cost of 3 inspections. He also told me a story of a cop letting him off free for it because the cop thought the law was unjust.

When police run your plates they can see if your registration is valid on their laptop, but they can't see inspection status. Register and wait to inspect. You're not gonna get caught if you do it that way.
