" Churchill headed to the nearby Apponequet Regional High School, where she said that she wandered the halls for nearly half an hour, taking video with her phone and engaging a female student who asked who she was and why she was recording."

This is your "Broke into a school and harassed children"? Really?

There are some other important differences in the way they burn, mostly that kerosene burns hotter. and cleaner than fuel oil so the equipment has to be built to handle that higher flame and heat box heat.

Heating oil/#2 fuel oil is that same as diesel fuel used in vehicles but without the road tax applied. Fuel oil will be dyed red for identification while diesel will not be and will have a yellow/green tint to it.

Kerosene costs more but also give off more heat per unit. You may be paying more per gallon but it can be negated by more heat per gallon.

The different fuels are similar but not completely interchangeable, But it is a good idea to talk to a burner specialist to know the specifics of your equipment. Ran out of heating oil and picked up 10 gallons of diesel to get your through until the next delivery? You're probably going to be fine, but "probably" isn't always worth the potential risk(s) so it's good to actually know.

"Some people think that eggs with darker yolks have a stronger flavour. We’ve tried all sorts of eggs with different coloured yolks cooked in all different ways and we haven’t noticed any difference in taste so far."

That right there showed me these people aren't worth listening to. Egg flavor definitely gets richer with a better diet which also effects the darkness of the yolk.

I've had kerosene heat for almost 2 decades now. A friend in New Hampshire also uses kerosene, it's not as uncommon as is sometimes believed. ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

If only they were in some kind of free trade agreement with some nearby countries and could bring in stock and/or supplies with little to no extra costs, delays, or issues.

Nah! That's silly, there could never be any real benefit to that! ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

I upgraded to a 6 qt Hamilton Beach with the latching lid about that same time and i'ts worked flawlessly.

The upgrade was really to have the latching lid as my old one still worked, and what a useful comfort that latchng lid is!

I was advised to avoid any electronic controls as they don't play well with the long heating then cooling cycles of a slow cooker but mine with the high/low/warm/off control has been fine.

It' often (too often) also headlight adjustment, IE. poor headlight adjustment. Headlights are in adjustable mountings, and those mountings often shift slowly over time or have just never been properly adjusted.

Then there's those who put in brighter or directional headlight bulbs and don't re-adjust the mounts to accomodate the the more powerful and different beams. Then also those many who simply drive on out of town roads with their brights/high beams on basically all the time.

High beam lights aren't supposed to illuminate the trees, people... -_-

I remember there being liner replacements available long ago but I haven't seen one retail in the US in a very long time. That and the cost differential wasn't really much different from just getting a new thermos, and for me the price difference made it barely worthwhile to mess with it.

I switched to Stainless steel 50 years ago, 1972, and I'm still rocing that one. No ragrats. ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

The standard procedure when you drop the old glass thermos is to shake it. Id you hear broken glass rattling around you just toss it. There's nothing left inside it that you want. ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

Plus; I've seen some old glass thermoses and never seen or heard of asbestos in one.

The 'popular' Stanley ones have a stainless steel vacuum flask inside them, your old Thermos brand's vacuum flask will be glass, and break probably the first time you drop it.

Dents won't crack the Stanley because they're not glass, they're stainless steel inside, they'll keep working fine.

Source; I've had this Stanley thermos since 1972, 50 years now, and it still works fine.

It seems to be a common "issue" with rock & roll/pop musicians. Elvis was 24 and 'dating' 14 year old Priscilla, 23 year old Iggy Pop was sleeping with 13 year old groupie Sable Star, Jimmy Page was 28 when traveling with and having -sex- a relationship with 14 year old Lori Maddox. That's just the shortest of lists of offenders and offenses, R. Kelly anyone?

But then of course like everything else, Jerry Lee is going to take it a bit farther than almost anyone else.

Yes, there was an 'accident' in 1976, Lewis was celebrating his 41st birthday (drinking) by doing a little indoor target practice. At that time, Lewis said, "I'm going to shoot that Coca-Cola bottle over there or my name ain't Jerry Lee Lewis." Lewis missed his target and shot his bass player, Norman Owens in the chest. Norman survived with a 'relatively' minor wound but sued Jerry Lee and was awarded $125,000. He was also noted for shooting holes in doors and shooting other items (indoors) just for fun. In this instance, shooting Norman, he was charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.

He did an album in 2006 called "Last Man Standing" with a whose who of musical guest stars; Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, B. B. King, Buddy Giy, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Little Richard, and many more.

He was definitely the "last man standing" from the original 1950s Sam Phillips/Sun Records crowd.
