It’s really not that. I have just been so impressed with her on the campaign trail. I get these little quirks. I wanted H Clinton to win the primary and the general in 2008 just so we would have Bush 41, Clinton 42, Bush 43;, Clinton 44. And school kids would have to learn who each of the 4 was and their connections

No I don’t think his degrees are community property. She also has community development experience focusing on nutrition. In fact that is how they met. And after he suffered the stroke, I think she supported him personally and professionally and I would even venture to say she may have made a difference in the number of votes he got. Although the Republicans’ unserious nominee also probably helped Fetterman’s vote count.

As far as I know, the Governor appoints someone, but I think the appointment only lasts until the next congressional election. So, less than 2 years. Rod Blagoyevich (sp) of Illinois got in trouble because he wanted favors or money when he had the chance to appoint someone to fill Obama’s senate seat when Obama was elected president. And

These people are not representative of Christianity or consevatism. A better example of conservatism and it’s success can be seen by comparing Florida with New York state. In the last 20 years, Florida has surpassed New York state in population, while having about half the annual spending. Florida also scores better on many measures of well being such as percentage of the population on Medicaid, life expectancy, and many other measures.

Alright, I promise I am not wishing bad health on John F. But I am so curious as to who Shapiro would appoint in the case JF had to resign.

Arguments for Giselle

  1. Appointing a spouse has been done before.
  2. She pretty much ran the campaign.
  3. Biden made that blooper when he said she would be a great lady in the senate.

Arguments against Giselle

  1. Shapiro might want the job himself (doubtful)
  2. There are people in state government who have been working away, paying their dues, Shapiro might think one of them should get it.

But if you have 6-8 children, and 85% stay Amish, you can’t hand down the farm to all of them. I live in Chester County, which adjoins Lancaster County. There are still plenty of farmers, but there isn’t enough land to keep up with the growing Amish population. So I don’t think a majority are farmers. Therefore of them have businesses doing carpentry, building and selling furniture, operating stalls at markets (where they sell fruits and vegetables, baked goods, wooden handicrafts, fabric handicrafts, homemade candy, fresh squeezed lemonade, soft pretzels, and more). We had an Amish guy install hardwood floors and he referred us to another Amish guy that built our kitchen cabinets. Everything was done to perfection, and we really enjoy it.

And in Lancaster County, there are many tourists, so the Amish provide services to the tourists: buggy rides, stores with Amish baked goods and handicrafts, tours of Amish farms.

I live just south of Coatesville and I have a daughter in Hockessin and a daughter in Wilmington. Plus two on call jobs in Wilmington. So I drive through the horse farms and just general beautiful landscape and very old houses often. Such a lovely drive. We (my husband and I) call it our Jane Austen land. And consider these two daughters used to live one in Manyunk and the ither close to the art museum. So we were on the Schukyll to visit our grandchildren. But new jobs, both sons in law ended up in Delaware within a year of each other. One is a lawyer and the other is a scientist. So lots of business in both those fields in Wilmington.

There is a horse shed at the Walmart in Parkesburg. I see lots of Amish shopping there. Teenagers, presumably in rumspringa, dressed in Amish clothing, but buying video games. And other ages too. I feel a little disillusioned when I see Doritos and cookies in their carts, I thought they made everything from scratch. But I am definitely fascinated with them and admire many things about them. The Amish population in the US is growing very fast. They have an average of 6-8 children and 85% stay Amish. So they have started new settlements in some rural areas in the US and even in South America. I hope they can keep their culture and not lose it due to fast growth.

Oh, yeah, smaller airports are nice when they work for you. I fligh Philadelphia to Myrtle Beach a couple times per year. I areive to PHLna full 2.5 hours before my flight, more if it’s holiday season. Buut I feel safe arriving in MB 2 hrs prior to take off. A big part of the difference is getting to my gate. MB only haas one terminal. In PHL, I feel like I am hitting a mile between security and my gate

I went to Calvary Camp growing up. The address is Conneaut, Ohio, but it’s basically Erie. The chapel was kind of on the edge of a sand cliff. I think they moved the chapel at least once. I would be curious to know if that camp is still going and how the cliff is holding up.

The Democrats didn’t just root for the Trump/bad candidates, they paid for ads for them. Both Oz and Mastriano got financial help from the Democrats.,Barletta, McSwain, and White all would have been better candidates for governor. McCormick would have been a better candidate for senator and probably a could have beat Fetterman. Oz was especially terrible, and the commercial he made about crudite was terrible. For one thing, he tried to hold too many things in his hands; he needed a basket. He revealed that he probably doesn’t go to the grocery store; he has “people” who handle all errands for him.
