Of course. All depends on the place.

Last apartment I rented before buying a house, 2-bedroom apartments got 2 spaces and 1-bedroom apartments got 1 space.

If you're looking to have a roommate, imho I'd take the space myself but give your roommate a small break on the rent in exchange for dealing with street parking.

Anyone saying anything other than Route 22 has never driven on it in the Mountainside <---> Hillside stretch where they have retail shops in the center of the highway, so you've got people entering and exiting traffic in both the left and right lanes (plus U-turns in the middle of the highway!! none of which have onramps to help cars get up to speed before merging). Then throw in massive flooding problems any time it rains.

When we were house shopping in Union County, my top deal breaker was being able to reach a train station and the Parkway without getting on 22.

Pretty much the first politician I've seen actually campaign for NJ-07, unlike Lance and Kean both hiding while relying on gerrymandering to win.

Unfortunately it'll work, Malinowski was thrown under the bus this cycle and the district redrawn to get Kean elected.

I stayed at the Double Tree by Penn Station Newark once because of a blizzard and it wasn't half bad. There's also a hotel next to the PATH station in Harrison that looks decent from the outside at least.

Either would put you in easy driving/Uber distance of East Orange, and you can hop on the PATH train to get into the city.
