MoviePass and early 10s Uber were basically the greatest transfers in wealth from VC billionaires to consumers in history.

I wonder how many of these listings are actually apartments.
I was looking for a place in Manhattan for my parents to stay a couple weeks ago and it felt like 99% of AirBNB listings were just rebranded hotel rooms.

Reply to [QUESTION] Do rental apartments in North Jersey ever come with more than one parking spot? by petare33
Of course. All depends on the place.
Last apartment I rented before buying a house, 2-bedroom apartments got 2 spaces and 1-bedroom apartments got 1 space.
If you're looking to have a roommate, imho I'd take the space myself but give your roommate a small break on the rent in exchange for dealing with street parking.

That's great.
Someone implement that feature in dating apps.

Can someone be put in charge of clearing the snow from corners?
This reads like it's targeted at midtown but my experience walking to/from work in Manhattan in the winter is pristine sidewalks and then you get to an intersection and every corner is like a super narrow path of slush and ice

Reply to Worst Highway in NJ by TheMateoAndre
Anyone saying anything other than Route 22 has never driven on it in the Mountainside <---> Hillside stretch where they have retail shops in the center of the highway, so you've got people entering and exiting traffic in both the left and right lanes (plus U-turns in the middle of the highway!! none of which have onramps to help cars get up to speed before merging). Then throw in massive flooding problems any time it rains.
When we were house shopping in Union County, my top deal breaker was being able to reach a train station and the Parkway without getting on 22.

Reply to comment by TwilitSky in NYC proposes strict Airbnb registration rules to take effect in January by Eriosyces
If you're comparing a single hotel room to an Airbnb, the hotel wins out in almost all circumstances.
Airbnb can sometimes win out if it's a group of people and you're comparing like 3-4 hotel rooms to 1 Airbnb rental.

Pretty much the first politician I've seen actually campaign for NJ-07, unlike Lance and Kean both hiding while relying on gerrymandering to win.
Unfortunately it'll work, Malinowski was thrown under the bus this cycle and the district redrawn to get Kean elected.

Reply to Where to stay in Newark by laladeedadee
I stayed at the Double Tree by Penn Station Newark once because of a blizzard and it wasn't half bad. There's also a hotel next to the PATH station in Harrison that looks decent from the outside at least.
Either would put you in easy driving/Uber distance of East Orange, and you can hop on the PATH train to get into the city.

The automakers will follow California's lead (and were even already making that move before CA), which is all that really matters.

Wherever you go, there you are.
There are tons of things to do in the city to keep from getting bored, but it's not going to save you if your boredom is a you problem. It's just as possible to fall into a work -> home -> sleep rut here as it is in Kansas.
