it's not cambridge, or boston, but the Publick House in Brookline has a fireplace... though I don't know if it's in use any more. It certainly was back in the day. Regardless, it's cozy af, so there's that.

people go to a physical agency to get insurance? Liberty Mutual is a huge local insurance company. Or just do Geico, Progressive, USAA (if you can), Amica, or a hundred others. When you get in a wreck, you call them and they send out an assessment agent or you take it to one of their authorized shops

Wife delivered at Mount Auburn in 2016. Wanted to do natural, but ended up needing a scheduled c-section due to a few complicating factors. Every aspect of the experience was wonderful. My wife is a POC, so was very nervous about the risks associated with women of color and childbirth, so we were both extremely vigilant and relentless self-advocates. We stayed in a huge comfortable room for 4 days. Even though they are not known as c-section specialists, her doctor was amazing and her scar barely shows. Our baby was 4lb 11oz when we left the hospital, but super healthy (she was 4 weeks 'early'). All in all, a really great experience there, zero complaints.

any property tax increases, I generally need to pass on at some point in the form of increased rent. While I haven't increased the rent on my property in a couple years, if/when property taxes go up, eventually the rent would. This at least enables me to put that off for a couple more years. So, there's that.
