This is silly. Not everyone is religious so people have different views about what happens to you after you die. To me a corpse is just dead organic matter with no significance whatsoever, so I don't care what happens to my body. You disagree, which is fine - your preferences should be respected. But there's no reason to impose them on everyone else.

I thought northwestern Lehigh was a decent school but idk. I went to Parkland (and grew up very close to the Lowhill border, actually) which is considered one of the best schools in the area and honestly, I feel like "good" schools are somewhat overrated. The teachers at Parkland were hit or miss - some were really good, but there were just as many that didn't teach much. The worst was one of my French teachers, who did absolutely nothing at all, except occasionally give us projects to complete.

I did well academically and got into a "top" university, but that was mostly because of stuff I did outside of school, because my parents pushed me to go beyond the school curriculum and compete in math/science competitions. I don't think I would have been any worse off going to an "okay" high school.

Lehigh County's envelope is definitely different from Allegheny's, but it's still pretty clear that you have to fill out the date.

Postmarks don't matter, by the way. Ballots have to be received by election day. And they don't actually care what date you write on the envelope, as long as it's not blank.

It actually doesn't matter what date you write there as long as you write something. The counties receive ballots with people's birthdate, and they are counted.

Edit: I'm wrong, as one of the replies below states.

Last year I didn't get my ballot until the day after the election, 4 weeks after it was supposedly sent (Lehigh County). Although the postmark was several weeks after the date the county claimed to have mailed it, so I suspect it was just sitting there for weeks. Unfortunately I would have had to travel 600 miles to vote, so I didn't vote. I don't think there is any recourse for this situation.

Edit: By the way, I think the ballot status page is not very meaningful. I completed and mailed my ballot back to Lehigh County two weeks ago, and they received it last week. But the "Ballot Mailed On" column is still blank.
