I don’t think it’s being very careful, really. A lot of older humor is based on What You Are. It’s simple, easy, and frequent offensive.

It’s harder to write comedy of What You Do, or complicated situational humor. It makes the writers room have to be more creative, but it’s a better approach anyway. I approve.

Edit: oh, and not washing all the sheets together. Kids sheets go in with kids clothes, so those are obviously twin sheets.

Adult bed sheets go in with adult bath towels, so those are obviously queen sized sheets. Keep the different sized sheets separate when you wash them.

Thanksgiving eve is going to be a nightmare — when everyone is fresh back into town and avoiding spending any more time than necessary with family. It’s always wall to wall in the bars.

Wouldn’t blame you if you started doing temperature checks at the door. Flu, RSV, Covid, impacted wisdom teeth? Don’t know, don’t care, if you’re temp is elevated, you can drink at home.

Agreed. A ‘beautiful simplified present’ is not a universal phenomenology of dementia. It is instead frequently an experience of fear and dread and re-living ancient memories; being stuck in a cycle of believing you are still in a past moment.
