The only one in Indiana I've been to regularly (or semi-regularly) is the one on 119, I think, since it's close to my dad and stepmom's camp.

The ones I go to most often are Babcock, Monroeville (closest to 376, rarely do I go to the one past the mall) and on Route 8. Those ones usually seem pretty decent. I used to go to the one in Cranberry a lot, but since I left the shop I was working at there to do my current expat assignment I haven't been there much aside from stopping there on my way to the range at the game lands when I'm on vacation.

The funny part is I got my 2020 tax return in a reasonable time frame and I owed money in 2021. But here I am, still waiting on my 2019 tax return for over two years...

You know if I didn't pay my owed taxes in a timely manner (like for 2+ years) I'd have a lot of late fees and interest I'd owe as well. But the state takes over 2 years to pay me...and I won't get a penny over my refund amount.

I feel your pain...our state is SLOW.

I'm still waiting for my tax return for the 2019 tax year filed in 2020. I've called - busy line. I've set up a scheduled call with the Department of Revenue - they never called. I've e-mailed my local rep - blew me off.

"We have received your Personal Income Tax return. Your return is currently awaiting a routine review. Please allow 12 to 16 weeks for your return to be processed. If additional information is needed you will receive a letter with instructions."

It has said this for over 2 years now...

If I am working some place where there is a Hooters, I go to the Hooters at least once. Last Hooters I did was in Augusta, GA. Unfortunately Augusta also had a Twin Peaks that was slightly closer to my hotel than Hooters was.

The food at Twin Peaks was overall better than at Hooters, but Hooters still had the best wings and loaded tots. But that Billionaire's Bacon at Twin Peaks...woah boy...

I was also expensing all my meals during that assignment. Free Hooters and Twin Peaks every day! Or at least when I wasn't going to a BBQ place.

I gained a little extra weight over that 3 1/2 months...

Like I said - sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. My particular experience with people trying to block me like I mentioned wasn't on 28 though - it was at the PA/WV border where they was some construction going on and I was coming back from Cabelas.

Did a little light off roading in my rental Camry to get around the shits from the long lane who were trying to prevent me from zipper merging. Actually had two people do it that day to me.

Apparently Camrys are ORVs now.

I usually do because it ends up being far quicker to hop over the hill to get to McKnight if that is where I am going on a day off. But if I'm not going to McKnight and instead am going to the city or someplace else in that direction, I'm going to do the zipper method that PENNDot recommends (and it seems that no one acknowledges).

>A large portion of the traffic is caused by people who 1) get into the long line of cars continuing on 28 well before the merge point, and 2) cars in that line that refuse to let people in the other lane merge.

And then you have the third type of people - those in the long line who will actually get out (usually partially, just enough to block the short lane while staying in their place in the long lane) and cut you off when you're trying to get to the merge point just to stop you from "cutting in line."

You might get it reduced, I doubt you will get it vacated.

I got a parking ticket because I didn't move my car for street cleaning day. I was literally in the hospital on prescribed narcotics because of a major issue with my stomach. I contested the ticket, provided proof that I was in the hospital and was unable to move my car for street cleaning day.

I was told I should've given my keys to someone and had them move it, then they reduced the fine - but I still had to pay a fine because of the ticket I got while I was in the hospital.

Never stayed at the resort itself, but my family used to go there once a year after our summer camping trip for a run down the alpine slide and a meal at Oakhurst Tea Room. Something always felt...off...to me about Seven Springs.

Maybe it was just creepy because we were at a ski resort during the waning days of summer before their prime season started.
