Give all city workers police powers. All of them. DPW, kindergarten teachers, librarians, lunch ladies...you name it. Raise property taxes and initiate a special tax for renters. Use the money to create a slush fund that will pay out settlements for beatings of innocent citizens. Also, grant them a cut of each ticket they write. Also they can write a ticket for whatever they want. Just make something up. They can write you a ticket for eating a ham sandwich in public.

I know it seems like I am changing more than one thing, but I'm just fleshing out the idea expressed in the first sentence.

Plus the owner chops onions and peppers into the steak, no option for plain. Seriously. I heard he claims that it's his special recipe. As a former restaurant and food service cook who did a lot of product buying and portion control, my money is instead on him wanting to stretch his steak with cheap ingredients. Unconscionable for someone selling $17 cheese steaks. No thanks, I'll head over to Papa George's for a stuffed large steak and cheese for about $8.50. WITHOUT peppers and onions.

Would not move there. The crime aspect, generally decrepit look of most streets in the area (Olga Ave and couple others are OK) the ridiculously dangerous and steep Belmont Hill which you will deal with every day on your way to and from UMass...no thanks. Look in the Plantation Street Hamilton Street area. It's about as close and so much better. Shouldn't be all that much more expensive.

Anybody thinking there is some nefarious Price Chopper led scam going on here is ... Entertaining? So much for the retail/food service worker solidarity popular on here. Someone fucked up because they were in a hurry or tired. Good to catch the mistake..bad to warm up the torches and pitchforks.

Mill Street is about three miles long from Park Ave to Tatnuck Square and it has sidewalks on both sides all the way down. There are only a couple of side streets on it that get a meaningful amount of turning traffic so your chances of a mostly uninterrupted run are quite good. So not quite 10 miles but there you go. Mill street is also very flat which is nice. You could extend the run and add a hill by going up the street that brings you to the Washington heights apartment complex off Mill (Williamsburg Dr) There is a network of mostly gravel streets up in those hills that is easy to kinda get lost in without a gps but there's almost no traffic.

I would suggest you poke around on Google Maps regarding this area to see what I mean about the street network on the hill. I might be misremembering which street takes you there. If it's not Williamsburg it is First, Second or Third Ave off of Mill.

The problem for me arises when you introduce people with apparent OCD (my neighbors) to a leaf blower. This brings out the worst. My neighbors leaf blow 5 or 6 times a day to get each leaf as it falls off the tree. Its bad. Better this year than last tho
