Indeed is a crap shoot. Employers have to pay to see job applications past 72 of them being submitted. Because of this they normally reject anyone who isn’t over qualified. I recommend that he applies directly on companies’ websites if he can.

Depending on what languages he knows, he should look into Duolingo.

It was a good day but my in-laws sound like they are in an SNL skit about Pittsburgh. They hit every Pittsburgh talking point you could think of. Steelers, traffic on 28, Get Go vs Sheetz, bike lanes, Fern Hollow Bridge, what pizza place is the best and so on.

I think it depends on how long OP is planning on being at the bar and if there are other family members at the hospital. Stepping away for an hour to get some fresh air and have one beer seems fine. If OP wants to get blasted and down a bunch of shots and be gone for most of the day, probably not fine. Caring for a sick loved one can be really challenging and caregivers do need to time to themselves to recharge.

Judging from what he’s written on Reddit he lives in an apartment without a Ring doorbell in Squirrel Hill. He’s recently at least thought about buying expensive electronics and owns a bike.

Also a thief might not be a stranger from the internet. It could be an acquaintance who knows OP’s user name and where they live without online snooping.
