Maple Street Park (Essex Jct.) and Sandhill Park (Essex Town) have great programs. Their pools are not heated, but they are warm by the end of the summer.

The Lions. They always suck, but I grew up in Michigan and know that next season is always the one where the plans all come together.

Only a few parking lots in Burlington use cameras for tickets that I know of.

An aerospace supplier. I don't want to say specifically. Company is small and my coworkers could piece together who I am from other comments.

Only communicate via email going forward. If you are told something obnoxious verbally, send and email to "verify". Manager will know what you are doing and might back down in some cases too. Sadly it's a game now.

Yeah no. Have you seen the EGR system on Prius engine? When the O2 sensor(s) doesn't see what it should, it is going to try to send a lot of exhaust gas back to the intake. That won't happen without back pressure. Air fuel ratio will be off. Will cause sluggish performance and reduced fuel economy. Will also see increased combustion temps that can cause the engine to overheat.

There is actually. Especially for engines with EGR.

Yeah no, but I agree with your second paragraph. The engine will run like crap without the cat. I never said it would hurt the engine. Can you make an engine run well without major components? Yep. Going back to the OP, it sounds like the question is what would happen with a straight pipe and no other changes.

Cool story bro. I've designed engines for CAT and Cummins. I know a thing or two about emissions systems and engine back pressure. You just don't realize that your "tuned"/deleted engines aren't running the best they could. You also aren't giving enough credit to the Prius's power train. It is pretty advanced for a mass produced auto product.

Of course you can over-restrict the exhaust. Engines are designed to operate in a back pressure range. Too high or too low, and they don't work right. Especially if the engine has an EGR system. You are flat out wrong about not noticing a difference.

Your car is going to run like total crap. The exhaust back pressure will be too low and the O2 sensor(s) will over compensate. Probably will recirculate too much through the EGR valve. Will get terrible fuel economy and the engine will be very weak. Not sure that it would damage the power train, but you will notice a difference.

Moved here from Michigan. Check out the PFAS situations in Rockford MI, the Huron River, and Oscoda MI if you like cringing and being pissed off. My old neighborhood in New Hudson, MI was sick with cancers, autoimmune disorders, and infertility. The EPA "safe" level for PFAS in drinking is currently 0.004 PPT. It was 70 PPT just a few years ago. Open water samples in the Huron River 1/2 mile from my old house were as high as 54,000 PPT.
One of the draws of Vermont for my family is that the drinking water is generally clean. Sure there are a few super fund sites, but they are generally small and contained. I've been told that Burlington's water system produces some of the cleanest drinking water in the state. I have not tracked down stats to verify or disprove this.
I ended up assembling a big 10-stage water filtering and reverse osmosis system that helped a lot. I do not feel like this level of protection is required in most Vermont communities, but a reverse osmosis system could provide some piece of mind. Under sink units run from like $80 to $500 depending on the features included and brand. Did you know you Vermont has an extensive water sampling system that spans the whole state? Most of the time, the latest reports are published for the public to see here:
