I wound up losing a ton of money the time I went. Caught a bad case of the flu from the lady sitting next to me. Missed not only that day of work, but five more days after that.

But of course those five days were after I went to work for a day, because it was still incubating, and therefore I was "not sick yet."

So I took out the entire prepared foods department of a Market District.

Yeah, I went to the Banksville location - first time I'd been to an EnP since 2019. Went for two reasons - I wanted some salad bar, and I wanted grilled stickies.

Salad bar was sadly pretty unfulfilling, and then they didn't have the stickies.

A day or two later, they popped up on my FYP on TikTok, so I asked them what was up. Evidently their supplier shut down, so they can't get them anymore. But they're trying to come up with another vendor.

In the meantime, if you're really jonesing: https://www.grilledstickies.com/store/p3/Plain_Grilled_Stickies_-_6_Pack.html

Scott township has a goofed up address because some jagoff in the postal service beefed with some other jag in Scott like over a hundred years ago and decreed that we will never have our own zipcode, nor our own post office (but there used to be one beneath the crooked bridge) and our border lines were going to be forever wonky, so our "sense of community" would forever be confused.

You can write that we have a Pittsburgh address, you can write Carnegie, it doesn't matter.

Granted, the only experience I've had from them was through a catered lunch at my old job, but it was legit one of the worst pasta meals I've ever had in my life. I couldn't even finish half of my plate, which is goddamn unheard of for my fat ass.

A few days before he passed, the store I used to work in had an event where he signed a bunch of jars of this stuff for folks.

Right. And when Bottom Dollar came to Pittsburgh, they opened up their own version of the stores right next door to almost every one of them, priced them out of town, and when Bottom Dollar folded, they closed all of their cheaper stores within a few weeks.
