Ah dam if that is true about the development, than I hope there is a better concept for the area. I agree Newark skyline can look very interesting in the future. Luckily we have a mix of taller and smaller buildings, now you had a couple more high rises and a few skyscrapers and you got yourself a beautiful, flavorful, skyline that makes sense. Unlike JC we’re it’s just tower after tower after tower after tower. In NYC u can see the scale of each tower standing next to each other. Look at the national Newark building than the building that has GameStop. Hopefully the development can give taller towers and do more with the concept, something similar to CitiSqaure but greater maybe even Hudson yards type energy. But thankfully we got halo and maybe arc tower hopefully to be the powerhouses for the future of our downtown.

Didn’t here anything about affordable units but hey atleast another large empty block is getting filled up. Very massive project, would very much like to see something like this on the dirt land on south orange ave.

I think he is someone who can see the benefits and turn the negatives into a positive. Like he said route 21 may seem dangerous and hard to cross but people cross it everyday and I don’t think a life gets taken everyday on that road. Given what is near this tower the price is worth it

Man if I could go back town and redraw Newark borders man this city would be large. Probably keep downtown in the east near the river and have every major road head towards it. Have the most western part of Newark look more green and hilly, the type of area were dears are eating grass in your yard

Definitely going to happen, Calvin is not the type of attorney who will help a developer get a project approved and then sell the land for higher profit. He told me about Vibe tower being fake and that someone else is about to build something there, the Westinghouse and 900 broad. As for the developer Calvin did say that the city supports the project and that the developer family will be paying for the construction I believe so no tax abatement. I imagine the tower only being over 100 million sense halo 3 is 90 million

From here I can’t tell if Newark is big or small, I can literally seeing the ending of the west and south wards. Honestly this pic is super fire

When I was in central highschool last year, my school was able to do things for every race but mainly Hispanic and black history month. Both months both are important to the school, their is never racial tension. Even though Hispanics have no problem saying the N word to each other and black students. But I would imagine a largely Hispanic populated school to be like this but central is largely black but our Hispanic counterparts never felt uncared for. If your a central devil were equal

I wonder why the tower was downsized, I originally thought the city just didn’t want tall buildings. The funny thing is if the tower was 44 stories that would had been the jump start for a new wave of taller development, but now we got halo and hopefully arc for that now.
