I work servicing the refuse industry and WM has been a major account for a long time.

The reason they left many spots in CT were because they were divesting themselves of unprofitable locations. This was the case with South Windsor, for example. Some places change hands multiple times, such as in Cheshire, MA where WM sold out to Republic who then sold out to Casella.

Don't worry, at the rate Casella and USA Hauling are buying everyone up, it's only a matter of time.

I haven't been to a Dunkin Donuts once since they borked their rewards program.

Now we either go to Cumbys or I make it at home.

Last year I was at the front of a 3 car accident. Sitting at a stop, blinker on to make a left turn, guy behind me gets plowed into, subsequently hits me.

Had I had a rear-facing dashcam, the SECOND car would likely have been put partially as fault as well. He was tailgating me for miles before-hand, tried passing me on a double-yellow less than a mile before the accident, and was right up on my bumper when he hit me. Had he given proper spacing between stopped vehicles, I very likely would not have been hit at all.

I got lucky with that accident, my damage was all cosmetic while the other two cars were totalled.

How is that any different than the packed urban areas saying they should have a bigger seat at the table (via Popular Vote for President) because most of the country chooses not to live like sardines with them?

Back then it was. The stockroom was not always in the building however, in some cases things were shipped direct to the customer. The Green Stamps redemption store was the same way.

My father actually belonged to a membership version of one of these clubs in the 90s. You would pay this huge membership fee, then go into a location that was nothing but hundreds of catalogs on the walls. You'd pick out what you wanted, filled out an order form, and it was shipped to you.

I've used TD for years, it's convenient for me and they haven't done anything to piss me off yet. I also have accounts at a couple of national credit unions such as Penfed.

I would use Louie down the alleyway downtown for my banking needs before I would true M&T for anything. There have been a mass of horror stories in /r/Connecticut about them ever since they took over.
