My house has been hit twice, and my neighbors house once by cars speeding on a curve and losing control of their vehicle. After they put the bumps on the curve a few years ago, never again

Disconnect everything when you leave the house. The only thing that should be connected is the fridge.

Navigant is great. They do fee free checking and you can earn interest with the money you have on the account. I had a car loan with them and had no problems.

Reply to I’ve been looking for apartments (on Facebook) and have come across a lot of postings saying to call/text. Is that a scam? Or do people actually want you to contact them that way? by macwanders
Not always. Some just don't use email that much and prefer call/text, especially older landlords. With me, I did send a message through Facebook messenger, but once I figure it out that the landlord preferred using the phone's message app to text, that's become our primary method of communication. But of course, be weary of those who want to rush you into putting in a deposit because there are many people interested or want you to apply before seeing the apartment. Especially those that send you a link for you to fill out the information so they can check your credit score.
