Meh, there's a quality trail just next to it.

The solution is to ride on the trail next to it. That's way more fun

The train itself is actually outdoors though. There are some Christmas decorations inside, but the train itself is outside.

Still less dumbass than driving and parking, but yes, Metro is the better option. But if you have luggage that would allow for bike riding, it's a reasonable option. It is also useful for when the metro is on fire.

People have done so. It's a lot easier if you get the backpack version for luggage though. You can strap your luggage to the front if you prefer with a tiedown strap. People do it all the time with coolers to sell water on the mall.
It's a great alternative for people too stubborn to take the Metro.

If Uber or Metro aren't an option, there's always capital bikeshare or just walking to the airport. It's along the Mt. Vernon trail.
If you're really that bougie, maybe take a limo?

People also use the Metro to carry bulky stuff, like bicycles, groceries, and Christmas trees. Knowing if you can get on a less full train in a couple of minutes would make sense there.

It works great for the most part. It can get buggy with some bus fares, to the point that the driver just waves me off, but never had an issue on rail.

But like why? There's plenty of taco places, and most aren't too pricey.

Reply to Can we seriously start some sort of PSA reminding Metro riders to TAKE OFF BACKPACKS WHEN USING THE METRO!!!?? by stos313
There's litterally a campaign for that in the metro ads. That and 'please remember to pay your fare', don't play radios, report unattened baggase. The only PSA were missing is not using elevators and metro trains as restrooms.

Also, if you're living in DC and your destination is in DC, metro fares are usually only about $2-3 even during rush hour. Even a monthly pass will cost less than $100 for that price range.
