Reply to Looking for a town called Buxton, Bucston, or any alternate spelling of that pronunciation in Massachusetts. It might not exist anymore. More details below by internallyskating
I think your actually looking for Buxton ME!!! I believe this as Etsy has Buxton posted: 1795 Maine Town Plan - Old Roads Reprint Massachusetts Archives - MA
Part of the description of their map says: A reprint of the historic old town plan from the 1794 series. Each Massachusetts town was required to make a map and send it to Boston so that a good map of the whole Commonwealth could be made. Thanks are due to the Massachusetts State Archives for scanning and making these valuable historical documents available.

Reply to Getting a RealID when my driver's license isn't yes expired. Will I be taking a picture at the RMV? by naovsky
If there is 364 days or less before it expires you won't forfeit that time it will just carry over to the new drivers license.
Ex. If your license was scheduled to expire on November 28, 2023 you can renew your license now and the new license will still expire on November 28, 2028.

Well for me I still had my old vehicle as I did not buy from a dealership but by a private vehicle owner.

A police officer told me that during the first 7 days it is okay not to have plates as long as you carry your papers showing you purchased the vehicle with you. I did that when I purchased my vehicle and when I'd go into a building I'd put a sign on my driver's side window that said "This vehicle is NOT abandoned. I am inside. If you have any questions please call me at 978-423-6824." No-one ever called me and I was never ticketed. When I was driving no police officer or state trooper ever called me.

Reply to comment by oldcreaker in State to open temporary shelter at Devens by ak47workaccnt
Usually homeless families go to the DTA office when they become homeless and are assigned to a family shelter or if no family shelter placement is available will often put them up in a motel room. They generally do not get a choice for their placement. As a former advocate for homeless families I can tell you that some families were placed in shelters in places such as Marshfield but their children would commute back to Boston for school (as they lived in Boston when they became homeless and intended to get housing in Boston and under federal law they have the right to continue to go to school at their last permanent residence.) Of course the host city didn't like this as the host city had to pay for the transportation to the school they went to, and the school they went to had to pay for the transportation back to the shelter they lived in. (The homeless family did have the option to send their child to the school the shelter was in, but often chose not to exercise that option.)

Reply to Mice on stove top by Santhu1414Ind
Make sure to place steel wool in any hole area and seal all possible entries. If you have baseboard heat make sure there are no holes behind the baseboard system. Set up mice traps, and I would also suggest getting pest repeller plug in for each room.
Peppermint oil, cayenne pepper, pepper and cloves. Mice are said to hate the smell of these. Lightly soak some cotton balls in oils from one or more of these foods and leave the cotton balls in places where you've had problems with mice. Another option is to make cheesecloth sachets from dry cayenne, mint, and whole cloves and leave them in places where mice tend to hide, such as under beds and corners.
Ammonia smells like the urine of a possible predators. Fill caps from plastic bottles with ammonia and leave them out anywhere mice might be tempted to enter, such the pantry or under the sink - just be sure to place them out of reach of pets and children.
