It’s a tire fire inside a dumpster fire.

It’s over an hour. I used to commute from Burlington to Northfield to teach and it always took over an hour.

I taught a class at Norwich several years ago in the evening and it was always jarring to hear the cannon. Then on evening there was an event when thy fired it a bunch (maybe 15 times?) so we all went outside for it. Kind of fun but I can see how that might get old if you live there.

I’d avoid M&T. The people in the local branches are lovely but the company is a dumpster fire.

Might want to be a little further south. I think peak was probably this weekend in vermont so it should be gorgeous further south, like in western MA next weekend. Or very southern VT. Just a thought.

I have a pair of wool Haflinger clogs that I use for just this purpose! My husband has a pair of shearling-lined Birkenstocks (Boston clogs) that he uses as winter slippers.
