There's a short story called The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect that's about a post singularity society where, among others things, people can alter their looks at will. During one part of the story, the protagonist remarks that a person who she had know pre-singularity (as her nurse-aid) had altered herself to look like a supermodel, but because most people had made similar alterations, it was considered boring.

I enjoy optimism tempered with caution and free debate. To be honest it seems like most of reddit and other 'internet' communities have enrolled themselves into a mental hospice. r/collapse is probably the worst, counting the days until the end.

At least that's how I take it. So, the people writing the abstract seem to claim that their model does better than any other model to date. Anyone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
