I've been following Gold Shaw Farm for a few years too. After the 1st video he put out there about hound hunting, it seems to me that he has been targeted by hound hunters and has had way more exposure to it than most landowners.
That said, the right to hunt and trap on open land (private or public) has been enshrined in the Vermont constitution since the beginning. The state does seem to skew policy toward hunting rights over landowner rights. From what I understand, you have to jump through numerous hoops on an annual basis to make your land officially a No Hunting zone. If you miss any of those hoops, your land is open to hunting whether you have signs up or not.

The Orkin Man rocks! We noticed fleas and turned out mice were bringing them in. I signed a one year contract with Orkin but after 3 months, the mice and the fleas were gone. The first visit included an inspection that identified the entry points where mice were coming in.

We should support it for the same reason we support roads and bridges, fire departments and police departments. Those don't make money for us either. But they provide essential services so we fund them. We should view the USPS the same way. It's an essential service.

Louis DeJoy, the Postmaster General, has been intent on running the USPS into the ground. DeJoy owns millions in stock from companies that compete with USPS. The Postmaster General is elected by a Board of Governors, but it is speculated that he was pushed by the Trump administration, which typically appointed administrators who wanted to end the thing they were actually in charge of.
As soon as DeJoy was put in charge, automated equipment was taken off line and scrapped. People were laid off. And policies were put in place that my local letter carriers called, "Delivering yesterday's mail tomorrow." I have no idea why that guy has been allowed to remain in charge.
We don't need to privatize the USPS. We simply need to fund and manage it properly. When you think about it, business needs the USPS to run well. So part of the corporate welfare that government is so fond of providing should be the proper funding of the USPS. That's one thing that would benefit not only businesses but the rest of us too.

Looks like fox. Recently ID'd similar prints in my own yard with a trail cam.

Not the smartest thing I've done, but years ago I drove for nearly 3 hours in a major blizzard, 2+ inches/hour, on all kinds of roads, treated and untreated, uphill, downhill, paved and gravel, and finally managed to power through the snowbank at the bottom of my uphill, unshovelled driveway (didn't make it all the way up the hill, but it was good enough) in a Toyota Corolla. I'm sure a Civic would do just fine too.

One thing about trucks is that the lights are literally higher than car headlights, which makes the angle different and tends to be more in your face or more directly in your mirror than car headlights.

It does seem pretty onerous for farmers, who may have 100+ acres.
