You definitely look like the protagonist in an 80s movie, kind of a Jason Bateman in a Risky Business / Secret of My Success type situation,.

I'm not going back to the UK anytime soon but I have been copying ALL of this down in my diary for my inevitable return, so cheers to all of you (especially those of you who put the location next to the store name)

Jetsons would be cool, that 60s retrofuturism and so on... I know people have this head canon of them being in the sky and the earth being a dead zone beneath. I think that's a bit too much, but I like the idea of other cities being the future as envisioned by other decades. So we have an 80s cyberpunk city, a 30s deco city like Metropolis, a Y2K silver/aqua fluid organic type of city, etc...

Really? My interface feels like it hasn't changed in ages. There's one banner ad on the menu page, but any other ads are coming through the apps themselves.

Paul also had one of those comic-art tin collector's cases which went along nicely with the Shaun/Fuzz ones.

Well, my cousin Bert Baldrick, Mr Gainsborough's butler's dogsbody, he says that he's heard all portraits look the same these days, 'cause they're painted to a romantic ideal, rather than as a true depiction of the idiosyncratic facial qualities of the person in question.

Same! I hate it so fuckin' much, I never have any idea what to give anyone else, and whatever I do find never feels like enough. I'm one of those people who holds real high standards for myself and I never reach them, so it's pretty depressing. My ever-elusive goal is to get it all done by Thanksgiving so I can just take the month off and actually enjoy the Christmas season.

Oh, and he doesn't even DO it on the day, it's a silent take so it doesn't freak out the tarantula. So he holds that scream face, then had to go back and add the scream in post.

I will straight up confess that I did something more or less like this as well when I was a kid (I'm sure I have it somewhere), same basic "Copy the Turtles cause I dig the Turtles" type of approach. Hadn't thought about it in forever until now.
