I think it’ll come regardless. Corporations will be taxed to keep social services running. More people will end up needing social services because they’re not working. Shelters, food banks, unemployment etc. UBI as a social service is just the next step.

You have too much faith in people and politicians. I think good leaders won’t be found and the people won’t elect the right people. The can will be kicked down the road every 4 years like every other problem

Do you see wages rising to allow people to be taxed more?

I’m genuinely asking. What is it that was achieved in 2023 that was meant to be achieved in 2038.

Could you break it down for me? Saw some posts but didn’t really grasp all the capabilities.

I wouldn’t be so sure about job security when it comes to mental health workers. I think you’ll be safe in your life time but A.I will enter the health space. It already has.

Some people will say it’s because ChatGPT. Some will say they over-hired in the pandemic. Could be both imo. Microsoft would have inside information on how they can use ChatGPT to automate work but I doubt they’d fire 5% percent of staff before testing it out.
Think they’re having layoffs to reduce staff count and then they’re going to see how they can automate work and then announce more layoffs.

That’s good. Would be nice for every country or region to have one and try to outcompete each other into automating work.
