Your personal opinion is wrong. Look for Nutter to endorse her soon.
Ng3me t1_j5pp8cd wrote
It’s a good endorsement. It loses her no support at all and gains her a few North Philly votes. Street represented that district for a long time and some old heads will follow his endorsement.

Don’t get too excited. There will be one countdown clock at the 13th street EL station and eventually the rest of the EL and then the sub but THERE IS NO TIMELINE for this project’s completion. “No timeline” is Philadelphia for “we don’t intend to do this.”

I agree to a point but then the historic commission tries to stop something being built on a totally blah building.

While pushing a stroller I had a guy in a small dick special pickup truck pull into the crosswalk by Cheesesteak Vegas. I looked at him like “come on”. He said sorry but didn’t move so I told him, “You’re still in the way.” He moved.

Dang. Pre Covid they were bummer. Covid killed lunch business. Places are literally open for like the most profitable 4-5 hours a day now. It’s sucks.

Nobody should illegally claim parking no matter their path in life.

Go trade places with them. Go be poor. Enjoy that good life. You’re walking around griping that they’re getting over on you, so go ahead.

Sips, Dinner en Blanc, Naked Bike Ride, and MIA are not for me but fine. Grown men pissing on my block is less fine. The Vikings celebration is usually decent but this year was a disaster.

Yeah the Vikings won and there’s a tradition of the losing brigades serenading the winners. The Vikings usually win and most years it’s a calmer thing focused more on the performances but this year was a complete shit show. Assholes pissing all over the neighborhood. Fuck the Mummers.

It’s because the Mummers do it for the Mummers. It’s a self congratulatory organization. They don’t give a fuck about the audience and they’d outlaw crowds entirely if they could.

The Mummers parade could be truly entertaining if it fucking moved at something like a parade pace. It takes hours for anything to happen. And it’s all because these bozos stop for 20 minutes every three blocks to coordinate exactly how they’ll stumble around.

I did not touch on that question at all. The testing requirement is entirely new this year and you have no idea what’s on it. You have no idea what those standards are or what opportunities are actually provided by the “alternative pathway”.

Incorrect. These are not alternative pathways in the sense that students struggled with conventional requirements. They are alternatives to a new testing requirement. Basically the state said “students now have to pass this test to graduate and if they don’t we have a tone of hoops for them to jump through instead.” The test and the alternative are new state mandated barriers to graduation.

If Street ran his 1999 campaign today, he’d have a decent chance of winning. He had baggage that nearly sunk him but the crux of his campaign was better city services and cleaning up the neighborhoods. Rendell had done most of his work in Center City but a lot of neighborhoods felt neglected. Street said he’d pick up trash, clean vacant lots, tow abandoned cars, and plow streets. People liked that then and I think would like it now. He wasn’t a great person but he campaigned on popular shit.
