I’m talking about the brick 4 story thing along most of the south side of that block of Walnut. It’s like a long rectangle. No entrances on the street or anything.

Yes the beautiful architecture of the boxy low rise dorm across the street, the brutalist dorm tower beyond that, and suburban style one story McDonalds at the end of the block. Someone call the historic commission!

Reply to comment by uptown_gargoyle in Mayoral candidate Helen Gym and ex-Mayor Michael Nutter clashed during a live event: ‘We are just in total disagreement’ by thefirststoryteller
I agree with your critique of the way politics is covered generally but I also think Nutter is obscuring the issues by being overly aggressive. He isn’t running for mayor. He shouldn’t be there to debate the candidates. But he is sucking up the headlines and attention after almost all of these events. He’s performing on a stage too much at these events. When candidates for mayor speak to the public, the former mayor shouldn’t be up there trying to steal the headlines. It’s a difficult task but they need someone who can challenge candidates without making it about themselves.

Yes. We all long for northern liberties and Fishtown of the 80s. What a dumb sentiment.

People either have wild ideas about how much money people make or how much private schools cost. The number of people in these neighborhoods that can afford $20-$40k per kid for tuition year after year is tiny. Just because a house is over $400k doesn’t mean people making Bryce Harper money live in it.

Children, talk to me when Katie and Alex have been on the air for 30 years. Many a teenage boy has passed a snow day enjoying Ms. Tynan’s blizzard coverage.

Generally you could touch it. You still sort of can. It’s behind a little rope but nothing is stopping you from touching it. The park ranger won’t arrest you, they’ll just remind you that you aren’t supposed to touch it. I touched it sometime in the 90s.

Thank you. She’s running a grift. She knows nothing and is trying to legitimize her Only Fans based fundraising with some vague social justice language. Her donations are all coming from old guys in Florida and she using them to pay herself.

I’m fine with the Radian, really. It’s good. The block is livelier now. The big steps are decent. People hangout there. It’s good. I wish Penn didn’t get rid of the park behind the library but whatever. There’s enough green space there.
