Dropsy, consumption, scrivener’s palsy, and hysteria. Anyone have a recommendation for a bloodletter?

Just watching the tv ads for Hellraiser terrified me when I was a kid. I had reoccurring nightmares about Pinhead without having even seen the movie

The foliage this year is so gorgeous! I’m in awe every time I step outside my door.

I’m calm. I’m letting you know that what your doing is considered rude. At it’s worst, it’s emotionally damaging and invalidating for people who have chronic health issues or disabilities to hear suggestions like that.

I’m glad they’ve helped you. They also have a ton of side effects, have minimal proof of their efficacy and can cause permanent changes like chronic anhedonia, and that’s coming from someone who takes psych meds. Unless you’re a psychiatrist and the poster is your patient, stay in your lane. Most people don’t like receiving unsolicited medical advice from a stranger.

Get out of your neighborhood a bit. Other areas of the city do experience the joy. Living next to any of the private apartment complexes in RVA that accept vouchers is no different than living next to a RRHA property

He might as well have been asking me to microwave one of my children, all the labor and love that goes into making a traditional croissant :(

If I’m eating a bagel in the morning, there isn’t a reason for it to not be freshly made. In my experience baking, bagels and other bread don’t have noticeable textural changes until they’ve been out for 5hrs. Nate’s does not toast any of their bagels, which makes it super obvious when they’re not fresh and sometimes I would suspect, from the day before. The last bakery I worked at had a man who would come in and ask us to microwave his croissant. A toasted bagel could never offend me after having to frequently torture a baked good in such a vile way.

Chewy’s are slow proofed and kettleboiled too. Nice glassy exterior with a chewy but not dense interior

I wish I understood the Bodo’s hype. It feels like they’re made to be enjoyed as bread for sandwiches. I can’t imagine eating one untoasted with cream cheese

I like Cupertino’s a lot. Personally, I think Chewys is the best locally. Nate’s was okay until they took away my favorite cream cheese and kept serving me stale bagels of sadness!

The post office has a probationary period where they essentially try to torture you into quitting by giving you terrible routes, shifts, etc. You do another probationary period once you get accepted into a career role. Once you prove you can consistently show up to work in hell, then the protections come into play that USPS is known for.

The post office probably moved him to that branch, making him work alone so other postal employees and management don’t have to deal with him

There are shootings pretty often by the apartment complexes on Westover. Bassett is right beside Ashton Square. I live in Forest View and last year saw someone die on the side street by my house after being gunned down
