I'm from Detroit, I agree it's not the best representation of Detroit pizza in this city (I find it too heavy), but I don't see what about it isn't Detroit pizza. Do the unique topping choices like pierogi bother you? Or is it that any Detroit pizza that isn't exactly like Buddy's simply isn't Detroit pizza in your mind?

I used to work in an office across from Metro Center, and there was a guy who sat there all day everyday with his saxophone only playing one song on repeat, "Don't Stop Believin'," by Journey. It drove me crazy.

Oh it was driving me crazy when I was looking to move a couple of years ago. Pretty much every building built in the last five years or so was advertising "one bedrooms," that were essentially just studios. The kitchens, while nice, essentially have no counter space, and they put up a couple of walls in the living space with a window at the top of the wall and a sliding door to create what is technically a very tiny one bedroom. They were priced at market rate for one bedrooms, but if you wanted a bedroom with a window that actually looked outside and not just into the living room, you had to pay an extra $300 to $500 or so.

There are enough bars in DC that you shouldn't ever have to pay a cover or wait in line unless it's a special event. A line on a normal night just means that they're at full capacity and that it's going to be miserable when you do finally get inside.

An underrated spot! I used to live on Swann, and heading down the alley to Dupont when out of ideas for a meal was always a good option, especially while hungover for their breakfast burritos. They also have a good beer and gourmet food selection.

Prices have gone up everywhere. And people lately seem to think that Bub and Pops is overcharging for a whole sandwich when they don't realize that their whole sandwich is 2 to 3 servings. Their half sandwich is still more than 1 serving, and much more what you would expect a sandwich to cost

I've been several times this year, and experienced the same issues each time as you. Ordering a beer, it's taken at minimum 25 minutes to receive it, and one time a full hour. I even went to the lobby to ask for help, and I was told to go back to the theater as my waiter would help me. And these weren't sold out shows, and each time it seemed they had multiple people working each screen.
