I find both City Paper and NEXTpittsburgh do a solid job of highlighting things like that. As to specific events, besides Handmade Arcade, we really love the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival at the end of June.

Great assessment except for walking access to the East Busway is really fantastic if you go downtown with any frequency.

I've used the Goodyear service center at Station & Highland going on seven years for repairs and maintenance. They do great work at very fair prices, and I've never, ever felt upsold by them for unnecessary things. They're also very accomodating for emergent repairs and they work quickly. Don't be turned off by the branding--I think they're an excellent shop.

Coffee Tree Roasters on Walnut is pretty cozy and open until 8. You might also consider Margaux in East Liberty which is open most days until 11. It's a hybrid coffee shop/cocktail lounge but doesn't have a bar feel at all.

Driving there from either direction on Penn Hwy is almost certainly much more dangerous.

Of all the crazy finds, last weekend we bought the Lindt Candy Teddy Bear calendar at the Ross at Waterfront for about $6. It's adorable! https://www.lindtusa.com/lindt-teddy-advent-172g-472913

Definitely no, but I wish! Honestly, as a white northeasterner I had absolutely no idea mac & cheese was thing for Thanksgiving until the last decade or so. We were definitely missing out.

Agree. Also, my favorite is the McCandless Crossing location. Clean, comfortable, and very well maintained.
