Doesn’t look or feel safe and like people are saying there’s clearly a bad part of town and that spills over. There are much more pleasant areas nearby to live. Portland, rocky hill and Cromwell come to mind.

I’m okay with being downvoted by telling you the honest truth that absolutely not will you be completely safe in Middletown-it’s 100% one of the largest hubs of drug users in the state. The food pantry on Main Street is one of the most visited in the state, I’ve volunteered there. That being said it’s a far step from being some sort of hellscape. It’s just, relatively, one of the worst areas in ct and idk why people would pretend otherwise then that they live there and can’t admit it. I have family that way in Hartford even though there’s regularly a murder around the corner

There’s comedy nights on Tuesdays in Manchester at the hungry tiger.

Max downtown, wadsworth Atheneum, and a few other monuments downtown are nice to checkout. Max is a good hang albeit expensive and the others are one offs. Go into the Goodwin hotel and ask them for a tour map to check out the area, they’ll tell you where to go if you imply to the concierge that you’re staying there.

If you wanna catch a comedy night at the tiger lmk and I’ll come have a drink with you

You’re welcome. Good luck basing your relationships on politics. 100% proven effective for all of human history and definitely in no way has proven time and time again to be narrow minded, short sighted and prone to lead to problems. In no way could someone realize that about you, lie to you about their politics and take advantage of you. That would be unheard of.

It is certainly in no one’s best interest to determine what relationships you make based on how a person treats people, what they bring in to your life or how caring they are towards you and your wellbeing. Just make sure they voted for the guy that keeps getting filmed sniffing kids instead of the one who said pussy

Some kids aren’t taught about the front light thing I bet. My neighborhood has a huge wave of kids bust out every home with their family before 6 o clock. So for some reason, people are trick or treating in the day light. But if someone says to me you got candy I will forever answer no. You got candy is a nope situation.

Wow terrible suggestions here. The one true answer is the gym closest to you that’s under $20/month. Now I’ll tell you best alternative if you can make it from your area. Main st Hartford ymca will give you a full gym facility AND heated pool AND steam room/sauna for 40/ month. That’s the winner. Let me know I’ll do a swim, shoot the shit in the steam room with you.

Up until 2005/2006 we’d fine reptiles and amphibians ALL OVER ct including Hartford backyards. They went from a common occurrence you could pile up in a 2 liter to completely gone by 2012. Not just in Hartford but in Tolland county backwoods we couldn’t find even a salamander under a rock anymore. I’ve always wondered what caused the insane drop off.
