Honestly if you just want to listen to music, instead of trying analyze it every time you put on a headphone, elite is as good as it gets. Not saying it’s not as detailed as other flagships, but it certainly have the best combination of technicality, musicality, build and comforts from all the flagships I have tried so far.

2 or 3 units that people posted about. I actually find it way more unacceptable than the post. The fact that it was even a possibility for an eye-watering $4,500 headphone is unacceptable. One of the reason why I’m such a fan of meze is that they treat the build quality of their product above what is expected for their price point. Yeah sound is number one, but it shouldn’t be excuse for cutting corner for build quality, which is also why I will never buy Hifiman again.

I don't have too much experience either headphone, but even from headphone usage standpoint, we get used to the headphone that we use often. Especially if you only use one pair and consider it sounding "correct", switching to something else that drastically sound signatures will make it come across as sounding "wrong". Even if you're experienced in this hobby, this doesn't totally go away, just that you are more aware of it and know how to account for it.
