Because it’s helpful - they were starting from every restaurant in philly. Narrows it down plenty from how many restaurants actually exist in philly, gives options, might be something on there they like but slipped their mind, might be a place that works well bc of location, and I put in parenthicals some details. They have friends visiting and are looking to show them multiple places, not just one meal in the city with kids.

Reading terminal is a great spot to bring both visitors and kids, good compromise - it has plenty of restaurants within to choose from, all very family friendly and typically thought of as a must see for visitors.

If they don’t feel like looking at any of the suggestions, that’s fine, just giving a starting place but plenty of people can glance at a bunch of menus and pick ones they like best.

I use Top 10- Top 50 lists all the time to pick out my next restaurant selections, it’s not that mind blowingly overwhelming to plenty of people.

Hop around some dive bars and see what their prices are like? McGlincheys seems like it’d have one cheap option of red or white.

Go to a byo and bring your own or hit up happy hours like Sampan/double knot (4-7 daily), Veda, Bellini, Murphs

The concept of the store makes me cringe - it’s the same Express clothes but instead of your avg worker creating the window displays, it’s less merchandise curated by “experts and influencers” to make it seem trendier and more exclusive.

But we need more retail back. I absolutely hate that clothing has all gone online. Let me just walk out the door and try on a pair of pants and see for myself how they fit/look before putting down money…
