Lol. Bob Brady is meaningless. A figurehead. A dinosaur. Something the communist left brings up to distract people from reality
The machine as in the city hall machine. The corrupt underbelly of Philly that prevents the trash from being picked up, that prevents the schools from having increased property tax funding, and in recent years has made public safety the last priority

Reply to How a Philadelphia antiviolence grant improperly funneled $76,000 to city police staffers by PhillyAccount
> “It kept my son busy,” she said. “It taught him a skill. It helped him with his confidence and basically anger management.” > Then, in early December, Gaines was notified that boxing had been canceled. >“It was upsetting,” she said — and confusing. The vague explanation she received was that one of the officers in charge was transferred.
The real “problem” was that city employees aren’t suppose to be receiving these funds. And there is no auditing.
> Urban Affairs Coalition, tasked with disbursing the grant money, said through a spokesperson it held no oversight function.
>That responsibility lies with the city’s Office of Violence Prevention, the grant maker.
>“It does seem like the way they set it up potentially has some governance concerns,” Harrison said.
“Governance concerns” no shit. City Hall has way too many different offices and tasks forces splitting out duties instead of a more centralized anti-violence initiative

I would bet a lot of Down voters voted for the politicans who implemented the laws that are suffocating the poor communities. Their performative politics are harming the city but instead of readjusting their perspective, it just makes them feel better to hit the down vote button.
